Preparatory prayer<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0(to put me in the presence of God)<\/em><\/p>\n Se\u00f1or, quiero estar contigo en este momento y decirte tantas cosas: contarte de mi vida, aunque ya la conoces, hablarte de mis proyectos, desahogarte mis problemas, platicarte mis ilusiones y mis fracasos. Quiero escucharte, verte, experimentarte, tocarte con la fe. Necesito de Ti tanto como del agua o del aire. Cuando me alejo de ti soy tan triste, tan d\u00e9bil, tan fr\u00e1gil. Pero s\u00e9 tambi\u00e9n que contigo todo lo puedo.<\/p>\n Gospel of the day<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0(to guide your meditation)<\/em> At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: \u201cI have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already burning! I have a baptism to receive, and how I anguish while it is coming! Do you think that I have come to bring peace on earth? Not at all. I have not come to bring peace, but division. From now on, out of five in a family, three will be divided against two and two against three. It will be divided father against son, son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law\u201d.<\/p>\n Word of the Lord<\/em><\/p>\n Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Gospel shows me how you are and in this passage I contemplate a facet of your person that is rarely discovered. You are a man who is zealous for the salvation of souls, a man who is a fighter, a fierce and courageous man. You know well that your message goes against the current and that it will not be well received by the world, that is why you warn of the consequences of your actions.<\/p>\n You are a passionate, a madman of love who would like the world to burn for this love, but you come up against the coldness of the man who rarely and with resistance lets himself be ignited.<\/p>\n With this you teach me to cultivate in my life that zeal to make more people know and love you, so that their lives will be better. That passion to evangelize not just a few, but to reach the whole world.<\/p>\n Give me, Lord, a little of that zeal of yours that moves me to be a docile instrument in your hands to carry your message throughout the earth. May it burn within me the longing to bring you to those who do not know you. May it move me, may it motivate me to sweat and wear myself out, knowing that salvation depends on you.<\/p>\n Evangelizing is not always a reason for union, although it should be. You make this clear to me in this passage. It is difficult for people to give up ways of thinking, acting and being that are contrary to the Gospel. That is why your message is not always received with docility and openness. However, this is not a reason for discouragement. The fire of your love can consume these difficulties and make us all one flock, with one Shepherd.<\/p>\n \u00abThe fire of which Jesus speaks is the fire of the Holy Spirit, a living and active presence in us from the day of our Baptism. This fire is a creative force that purifies and renews, burns up all human misery, all selfishness, all sin, transforms us from within, regenerates us and makes us capable of love. Jesus wants the Holy Spirit to burst forth like fire in our hearts, because only by starting from the heart can the fire of divine love spread and advance the Kingdom of God\u00bb.<\/em> Dialogue with Christ<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.<\/em><\/p>\n Purpose<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.<\/em><\/p>\n Today I will strive to live my duties in a spirit of perfection, offering to the Lord this act of love for the salvation of those who have not been evangelized.<\/p>\n Farewell<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Christ, our King!
