In recent weeks, Rome has been a time of grace for the three consecrated vocations of Regnum Christi. The III General Assembly of Consecrated Women, the II Ordinary General Assembly of Consecrated Laity and the General Chapter of the Legionaries of Christ have come to an end after intense days of prayer, discernment and collegial work. What horizon now opens up for each vocation and for the shared mission?<\/em><\/p>\n

Each Assembly and the Chapter dealt with the themes proper to their vocation, but they all agreed on the same desire: to strengthen our identity and serve our shared mission with greater clarity. These were not weeks centered only on decisions or normative adjustments. They were, above all, days of listening, prayer and sincere review of the road we have traveled.<\/p>\n

In this climate, a simple certainty took shape: the mission that each vocation lives cannot be understood in isolation. It is illuminated and sustained in relation to the others and within the Church. This time in Rome allowed, therefore, not only to define orientations, but also to renew the commitment to walk together, with greater co-responsibility and sense of service.<\/p>\n

Consecrated Laity: evangelizing presence in the midst of the world<\/h3>\n

On February 12, 2026, the II Ordinary General Assembly<\/a> of the Consecrated Laity. In its final message<\/a>, The delegates expressed gratitude for the prayer and accompaniment of the other vocations and reaffirmed their desire to journey as a spiritual family and apostolic body.<\/p>\n

Inspired by an expression of Pope Leo XIV: \u00abThe Lord makes no noise, but his Kingdom springs up and grows in every corner of the world\u00bb, they stressed that the charism is a gift of the Holy Spirit for the Church, called to be guarded, deepened and made fruitful in communion.<\/p>\n

During the Assembly, they reviewed, in the light of their Constitutions, fundamental dimensions of their life: fraternal life, the exercise of authority, spiritual life, formation, consecrated lay poverty, apostolic outreach, vocation ministry, relationship with other vocations and care for safe environments. This discernment sought to orient everything to Christ, so that lay consecration would fully manifest its evangelizing power.<\/p>\n

From their own identity, they reaffirmed their call to live their dedication in the midst of temporal realities, offering their professional and social life as a continuous service to the Kingdom and assuming the priorities of the General Convention of 2024.<\/p>\n

Consecrated women: charismatic clarity and orientation towards 2032<\/h3>\n

The III Ordinary General Assembly<\/a> The meeting of Consecrated Women concluded on February 14 in Rome and defined an orientation towards 2032, seeking to concretize features that should be strengthened: a more solid interior life, communities with a sense of being sent and a clearer contribution to the shared mission.<\/p>\n

Some points of the proper law were also revised and will be sent to the Holy See for evaluation. A particularly relevant topic was the incorporation of a new number in the Constitutions, focused on describing more clearly the specific contribution of the Consecrated Women to the life of the Church, in harmony with the shared charism.<\/p>\n

In continuity with what was established in 2020, they also advanced concrete criteria for living poverty with greater coherence, integrating solidarity, evangelical sobriety and co-responsibility. The revision of a general plan of economic sustainability sought to ensure the long-term mission without losing its own style or the real link with the Church and other vocations.<\/p>\n

At the end of the Assembly, the Director General addressed a letter<\/a> Regnum Christi in which he shared the road traveled and the main topics addressed, together with the final communiqu\u00e9 containing the decisions adopted.<\/p>\n

Legionaries of Christ: renewal and collegial service<\/h3>\n

The General Chapter<\/a> brought together capitular fathers from different countries in an atmosphere of prayer, listening and shared discernment. They addressed topics such as authority and obedience, fraternal life, fidelity to the charism, apostolic mission in the dioceses and in Regnum Christi as a whole, integral formation, vocation promotion and the strengthening of an institutional culture of care, justice and prevention.<\/p>\n

The weeks of work were marked by a style of open dialogue and the search for the will of God. The plenary sessions, group work and contributions from the territories made it possible to take a realistic look at the life of the Congregation, recognize challenges and confirm convictions. It was not only a matter of analyzing practical questions, but also of rereading our own history in the light of the road we have traveled and our present responsibility in the Church.<\/p>\n

Pedro Pablo Elizondo, L.C., Fr. Jos\u00e9 Antonio Barco, L.C. and Fr. H\u00e9ctor Galv\u00e1n, L.C. Their memory, together with common prayer, placed discernment in a horizon of hope and responsibility, strengthening communion in the midst of fragility.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the Chapter, the Director General addressed a letter<\/a> Regnum Christi in which he shared the meaning of what he had experienced during these weeks. Also announced was the forthcoming publication of the Chapter Communiqu\u00e9 2026, which will contain the main conclusions and orientations for the coming years.<\/p>\n

Under the gaze of the Holy Father<\/h3>\n

The Assemblies and the General Chapter were received by Pope Leo XIV at different times.<\/p>\n

On January 29, the delegates of the General Assembly of Consecrated Women and the delegates of the General Assembly of Lay Consecrated Persons participated in an audience with the Holy Father<\/a>. In that meeting, the Pope underlined the value of communion in life and mission, the character of service proper to government and the responsibility of guarding the charism as a gift of the Holy Spirit for the Church.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, on February 19, the capitular fathers of the Legionaries of Christ were received by the Pope<\/a> in the Apostolic Palace. The Holy Father confirmed the Congregation in its mission and encouraged them to always place Christ at the center of their personal, community and apostolic life, recalling that no one is the owner of the charism received, but a custodian and servant.<\/p>\n

A shared responsibility for this time<\/h3>\n

With the conclusion of these Assemblies and the General Chapter, a process does not end, but rather a common responsibility is assumed with greater clarity. Each vocation has chosen those who will exercise the service of government during the next six years and has specified concrete priorities. At the same time, they reaffirmed that the charism received is a gift for the Church and that its custody demands a real communion and co-responsibility.<\/p>\n

With the conclusion of these Assemblies and the General Chapter, this stage of work in Rome comes to an end and the journey of each vocation continues. What we have experienced leaves clear orientations and a shared responsibility in the service of the Church.<\/p>\n

Each one follows her mission wherever she is called to serve. This reaffirms the decision to place Christ at the center and to live the mission in a shared way, as a spiritual family and as an apostolic body.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
