Se\u00f1or, te doy gracias por el don de mi vida. Gracias por haberme hecho hijo tuyo. Gracias por todos los dones que d\u00eda a d\u00eda me das. Perdona las veces que no he correspondido a tu amor. Ay\u00fadame a amarte cada vez m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s. Te pido aumentes mi fe, mi esperanza y mi caridad. Inflama mi coraz\u00f3n de un celo ardiente por la salvaci\u00f3n de las almas y por la extensi\u00f3n de tu Reino.<\/p>\n

Por aquellos d\u00edas, se celebraba en Jerusal\u00e9n la fiesta de la dedicaci\u00f3n del templo. Era invierno. Jes\u00fas se paseaba por el templo, bajo el p\u00f3rtico de Salom\u00f3n. Entonces lo rodearon los jud\u00edos y le preguntaron: \u201c\u00bfHasta cu\u00e1ndo nos vas a tener en suspenso? Si T\u00fa eres el Mes\u00edas, d\u00ednoslo claramente\u201d. Jes\u00fas les respondi\u00f3: \u201cYa se los he dicho y no me creen. Las obras que hago en nombre de mi Padre dan testimonio de m\u00ed, pero ustedes no creen, porque no son de mis ovejas. Mis ovejas escuchan mi voz; Yo las conozco y ellas me siguen. Yo les doy la vida eterna y no perecer\u00e1n jam\u00e1s; nadie las arrebatar\u00e1 de mi mano. Me las ha dado mi Padre, y \u00e9l es superior a todos, y nadie puede arrebatarlas de la mano del Padre. El Padre y Yo somos uno\u201d.<\/p>\n

Son tres las caracter\u00edsticas que pones a las ovejas que son de tu reba\u00f1o. La primera es que ellas escuchan tu voz, la segunda es que T\u00fa las conoces, la tercera es que ellas te siguen. Hoy quisiera preguntarme delante de ti si soy, seg\u00fan estas caracter\u00edsticas, oveja de tu reba\u00f1o. Yo quiero, Se\u00f1or, ser una de tus ovejas. \u00c9sa de la que te preocupas, la cuidas, la alimentas, la proteges. Dame la gracia de ser oveja de tu redil y jam\u00e1s salirme de all\u00ed.<\/p>\n

\u00bfS\u00e9 escucharte en mi vida? Obviamente que no me hablas con una voz f\u00edsica, con apariciones espectaculares, o grandes visiones. No. T\u00fa generalmente hablas de otra manera. Pero siempre hablas. Tal vez, soy yo quien no te escucha. T\u00fa me hablas a trav\u00e9s de las Sagradas Escrituras, del sacerdote, de mis padres, de mis superiores. Me puedes hablar tambi\u00e9n por medio del buen consejo de un amigo, de un bello paisaje de la naturaleza o incluso en aquel suceso que puedo considerar casualidad. Siempre me hablas, s\u00f3lo necesito escucharte.<\/p>\n

\u00bfMe conoces, Se\u00f1or? Sobre esto creo que no hay dudas. Nadie me conoce mejor que T\u00fa. Me conoces incluso m\u00e1s que yo mismo. En otro pasaje que hablas de las ovejas, dices que las llamas por el nombre. Esto me ilumina. Me conoces por mi nombre. No hay confusi\u00f3n de personas en tus designios. Me conoces por mi nombre, por lo m\u00e1s m\u00edo de m\u00ed. No me conoces por un n\u00famero, por mis cualidades o pecados, por mis obras buenas o las malas. Tampoco me conoces por la ropa que llevo, el trabajo que tengo o las cosas que uso. Me conoces en lo m\u00e1s \u00edntimo, me conoces tal y como soy, y no en las apariencias.<\/p>\n

\u00bfTe estoy siguiendo? Una cosa es escucharte, Se\u00f1or, y otra es dar el paso, dejarlo todo y seguirte. No basta con escuchar, es necesario ponerse en marcha. Seguirte es imitarte, conocerte, amarte. Seguirte es ir contigo, acompa\u00f1arte, sufrir contigo, tomar la cruz. Seguirte es amar al pr\u00f3jimo, cuidar tus dones, cumplir tus consejos. Seguirte es ver a quien camina adelante limpiando el camino, protegiendo, guiando.<\/p>\n

Dame la gracia, Jes\u00fas de confiar en ti porque T\u00fa has dicho que nadie puede arrebatarme de tu mano. Cuida siempre de m\u00ed y jam\u00e1s permitas que me salga de tu redil.<\/p>\n

\u00abEstas palabras nos ayudan a comprender que nadie puede decirse seguidor de Jes\u00fas si no escucha su voz. Y este \u201cescuchar\u201d no hay que entenderlo de una manera superficial, sino comprometedora, al punto que vuelve posible un verdadero conocimiento rec\u00edproco, del cual pueden surgir un seguimiento generoso, expresada en las palabras \u201cy ellas me siguen\u201d. Se trata de un escuchar no solamente con el o\u00eddo, sino \u00a1una escucha del coraz\u00f3n! Por lo tanto, la imagen del pastor y de las ovejas indica la estrecha relaci\u00f3n que Jes\u00fas quiere establecer con cada uno de nosotros. \u00c9l es nuestra gu\u00eda, nuestro maestro, nuestro amigo, nuestro modelo, pero sobre todo es nuestro salvador\u00bb.<\/em>
