En aquel tiempo, dijo Jes\u00fas a sus disc\u00edpulos: \u00abLa paz os dejo, mi paz les doy; no se la doy como la da el mundo. No pierdan la paz ni se acobarden. Me han o\u00eddo decir: ‘Me voy, pero volver\u00e9 a vuestro lado’. Si me amaran, de que me vaya al Padre, porque el Padre es m\u00e1s que yo. Se lo he dicho ahora, antes de que suceda, para que cuando suceda, crean. Es caracter\u00edstico del cristianismo no dejarse vencer por el temor, ni siquiera a la propia muerte, y predicar, anunciar, gritar por las calles la Buena Nueva de la salvaci\u00f3n. El cristiano, el disc\u00edpulo, el miembro del Regnum Christi est\u00e1 llamado por ti a ser un guerrero incansable, un hombre de decisi\u00f3n firme, de palabra duradera, de metas claras, de iniciativa por el Reino de Dios, por tu Reino. T\u00fa me invitas a llevar tu Evangelio a todo el mundo sin acobardarme, sin temer, sin avergonzarme.<\/p>\n

You call me not to be dominated by fear and to face my life and evangelization with courage, boldness and zeal. Not to be discouraged in the face of problems, difficulties, not even in the face of my sins and weaknesses. But all this for a simple reason: because you are with me, because you have commanded me, because it is your work that I bring to others, because you give me your grace and you have given me your peace.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of this Gospel you leave to the apostles the peace that you came to bring, not the one elaborated in the world, written on papers and endorsed with the signatures of men. You bring the peace that my soul needs and that you want me to transmit to others. Peace is not something I conquer with yoga exercises, with long introspections, with encounters with nature. Peace comes from the experience of you in prayer, in the sacraments, in the apostolate.<\/p>\n

Give me the grace, Lord, to follow your advice to take the Gospel to the whole world with courage, with fire. But also grant me the peace that I and others need. May I know how to follow the example of St. Joseph the worker, who in his daily life taught you the importance of work as a means of personal salvation and that of others.<\/p>\n

\u00abJes\u00fas anuncia la venida del Esp\u00edritu que ante todo ense\u00f1ar\u00e1 a los disc\u00edpulos a comprender cada vez m\u00e1s plenamente el Evangelio, a acogerlo en su existencia y a hacerlo vivo y operante con el testimonio. Mientras est\u00e1 por confiar a los Ap\u00f3stoles \u2014que quiere decir, en efecto, \u201cenviados\u201d\u2014 la misi\u00f3n de llevar el anuncio del Evangelio a todo el mundo, Jes\u00fas promete que no quedar\u00e1n solos: estar\u00e1 con ellos el Esp\u00edritu Santo, el Par\u00e1clito, que estar\u00e1 a su lado, es m\u00e1s, estar\u00e1 en ellos, para defenderlos y sostenerlos.
