From December 28, 2019 to January 5, 2019, the first international meeting for ECYD leaders, entitled: \u00abBe his apostle\u00ab, was held in Rome.<\/p>\n
The event took place at the Pontifical International College Maria Mater Ecclesiae in Rome, where some 88 ECYD leaders from 15 different nationalities gathered: Mexico, the United States, Italy, the Philippines, Brazil, El Salvador, Chile, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Colombia and Venezuela.<\/p>\n
The objective was to renew in the hearts of those responsible for ECYD, the love for Jesus Christ and his mission.<\/p>\n
There were moments of prayer, of integration, of formation through conferences, international teams were formed and there were moments of apostolate such as missions in Piazza Navona and a route of saints to get to know special places of people who have left their mark on the world.<\/p>\n
The Mexican delegation was made up of 11 officials from Cuernavaca, Obreg\u00f3n, Mexico City, Toluca, M\u00e9rida and Culiac\u00e1n.<\/p>\n
We present some testimonies of the meeting:<\/p>\n
\u00abIt is impossible to explain how incredible it was to meet all these people in charge. To know that we are all different, each one with a different personality, but all with the same heart. The freedom it felt to be able to express your spiritual life without being judged, and to have them not only accept it but also share it with you. It was simply incredible to know that we were all motivated to continue singing, praying, missioning, for the same reason which is Jesus. Rome was an unforgettable experience thanks to these people,\u00bb Jiham Salloum, Mexico South.<\/p>\n
\u00abAt first glance we were all completely different, different countries, cultures, languages, etc., but what united us was that crazy and unconditional love for ECYD and Christ. Sharing the differences and similarities of ECYD members around the world was a very enriching experience, because we are young people who truly experience day by day how ECYD is changing the world,\u00bb Carla Rodriguez, Merida.<\/p>\n
\u00abRegnum Christi is a drop of joy that floods the heart it inhabits with love. I had the opportunity to join this Movement by saying yes to Christ. In the meeting I realized that I am not alone, there are thousands of kids like me who radiate love and die to transmit it to the world by the hand of Christ\u00bb, Juan Carlos Escobar, Toluca.<\/p>\n
\u00abOne of the conferences that marked me the most was \u201cThe ECYD, a gift for the Church\u201d, and I could not agree more with this title. ECYD is a gift and is part of the Church that lives for the love of Christ and seeks for Him to reign in the hearts of all people. Jesus is the head of this Church and this week we committed ourselves more to be his body, we all made our own the mission of being apostles and going out to meet the other; and we were filled with hope to be able to carry it out\u00bb, Jessica Arzamendi, Cuernavaca.<\/p>\n
\u00abI really liked the official slogan which was:\u201cBe his apostle<\/em>\u201d. This motto allowed me to realize that the mission of all those responsible around the world is the same; to be apostles and thus bring the love of God to every corner of the world. Many times being in our city, we feel afraid or embarrassed to follow Christ and that problem is not only in Cuernavaca, it is in all the cities of the world, but this week Jesus invited us to hold His hand and walk with Him all the time\u00bb, Luis Montoya, Cuernavaca.<\/p>\n \u00abAt the international meeting of ECYD leaders, we could see how all the young people were united and motivated by a single reason, Christ.
