\nChrist, our King, Thy Kingdom come!<\/p>\n
Preparatory prayer\u00a0<\/strong>(to put me in the presence of God)<\/em> Gospel of the day\u00a0<\/strong>(to guide your meditation)<\/em> On the other hand, if anyone is ashamed of me and of my doctrine, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes clothed with his glory and the glory of the Father and the glory of the holy angels\u201d.<\/p>\n Word of the Lord.<\/p>\n Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/p>\n How do we start, where is the cross, do we carry it, do we carry it? We remain silent waiting for the Lord to tell us what he wants us to do or whom we have to forgive. This is fine, and surely the Lord will answer us in due time. What if our cross is to be in this moment of prayer? Surely we have many things to do; surely there are things in our lives that we do not understand and we would like some answers right now.<\/p>\n Christ, in this Gospel, calls us to unite our whole life to his sacrifice on the cross. Therefore, there is no aspect that we do not want to see united to him. Jesus wants to be the center, the model and example of our life even in the smallest details. And being here is a very important moment that is not without a cross.<\/p>\n Christ invites us to take up our daily cross now, in this moment. To say a first \u00abyes\u00bb. Let us first place our weariness, boredom (if any) and the things that trouble us, in his hands. This is the part of\u00a0denying oneself<\/em>. Then let us take up our cross, that is: let us say \u00abyes\u00bb. Let us say that we accept to be tired and worried, that it is all worth it if we can, even for a minute, be with Him. Let us look at what He does: let us look at how He takes the worries and smiles. Let us look at how He accompanies us as He walks.<\/p>\n How good it would be if we could repeat this exercise every time we find something difficult. But, even if we forget, Jesus is happy to see us at this moment accepting his will. Because following the Father's will in the here and now is the most important thing.<\/p>\n \u00abA multitude formed by individuals who only look at their own needs without noticing others and, therefore, never discover the full taste of life. Individualism prevents full happiness, because it excludes the other from the horizon. When I remain blind to the suffering and fatigue of others, I am actually blind to what could make me happy: one cannot be happy alone. Jesus says in the Gospel with a lapidary phrase: \u201cWhat good is it for a man to have gained the whole world, if he himself is lost or ruined?\u201d Dialogue with Christ<\/strong> Purpose<\/strong> Farewell<\/strong> Christ, our King! For whoever wishes to keep his life for himself will lose it, but whoever loses it for my sake will find it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or destroys himself?<\/p>\n

\nThis is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.<\/em><\/p>\n
\nPropose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.<\/em>
\nDuring the day I will find two moments to thank the Lord for the gift of his presence in my life.<\/p>\n
