\nAt that time, Jesus left Samaria and went to Galilee. Jesus himself had declared that no prophet is honored in his own country. When he arrived, the Galileans welcomed him, because they had seen everything he had done in Jerusalem during the festival, as they too had been there.
\nVolvi\u00f3 entonces a Can\u00e1 de Galilea, donde hab\u00eda convertido el agua en vino. Hab\u00eda all\u00ed un funcionario real, que ten\u00eda un hijo enfermo en Cafarna\u00fam. Al o\u00edr que Jes\u00fas hab\u00eda venido de Judea a Galilea, fue a verlo y le rog\u00f3 que fuera a curar a su hijo, que se estaba muriendo. Jes\u00fas le dijo: “Si no ven ustedes se\u00f1ales y prodigios, no creen”. Pero el funcionario del rey insisti\u00f3: “Se\u00f1or, ven antes de que mi muchachito muera”. Jes\u00fas le contest\u00f3: “Vete, tu hijo ya est\u00e1 a sano”.
\nThat man believed in Jesus\u201c word and set out on his way. As he was nearing his home, his servants met him with the news that his son was already well. He asked them at what hour the improvement had begun. They answered him, \u201dYesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.\u2018 The father realized that at that very hour Jesus had said to him, \u2019Your son is well,' and he believed, along with all his household.
\nThis was the second sign that Jesus did when he returned to Galilee from Judea.
\nWord of the Lord.<\/p>\n
\nHiciste tu primer milagro en Can\u00e1; en este mismo lugar realizaste tu segundo signo, a pesar de que a ning\u00fan profeta se le honra en su propia patria a causa de la falta de fe de muchos. Dedicaste tus primeros signos a la familia: primero ayudaste al matrimonio en su necesidad de vino; en esta ocasi\u00f3n auxilias a un padre afligido por la enfermedad de su hijo. Las palabras de Mar\u00eda todav\u00eda resuenan en Can\u00e1: hagan lo que \u00c9l les diga. El funcionario real da fe a tus palabras y se retira de tu presencia. Su fe en tu a palabra le consigue la curaci\u00f3n que deseaba. Crey\u00f3; su fe le dio motivo de vivir con esperanza, la esperanza de regresar a casa y encontrar a su hijo sano y salvo.
\nSan Juan nos narra en pocas l\u00edneas una conversi\u00f3n. Un hombre que hab\u00eda escuchado de un tal Jes\u00fas que hab\u00eda obrado algunos prodigios. El viaje de regreso a casa significa para nosotros el tiempo de nuestra conversi\u00f3n. Durante el viaje, las palabras de Jes\u00fas penetran con fuerza: \u00abVete, tu hijo ya est\u00e1 sano\u00bb. Supo que le fue dado un gran don. Al llegar a casa y constatar la curaci\u00f3n de su hijo, no dud\u00f3 en compartir su fe con los miembros de su casa, aquellos que, de hecho, presenciaron la curaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
