\nLord, thank you for the gift of being here, help me to be here with all my heart.<\/p>\n

\nDel santo Evangelio seg\u00fan san Mateo 27, 27-31.
\n\u00a1Viva el rey de los jud\u00edos!<\/em>
\nLos soldados del procurador llevaron a Jes\u00fas al pretorio y reunieron alrededor de \u00e9l a todo el batall\u00f3n. Lo desnudaron, le echaron encima un manto de p\u00farpura, trenzaron una corona de espinas y se la pusieron en la cabeza; le pusieron una ca\u00f1a en su mano derecha, y arrodill\u00e1ndose ante \u00e9l, se burlaban diciendo: “\u00a1Viva el rey de los jud\u00edos!”, y le escup\u00edan. Luego, quit\u00e1ndole la ca\u00f1a, lo golpeaban con ella en la cabeza. Despu\u00e9s de que se burlaron de \u00e9l, le quitaron el manto, le pusieron sus ropas y lo llevaron a crucificar.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/p>\n

Es incre\u00edble lo mucho que puede cambiar una frase dicha en diferentes momentos. Hoy celebramos el d\u00eda en que Jes\u00fas entr\u00f3 triunfante a Jerusal\u00e9n en medio de hosannas, y tambi\u00e9n hacemos memoria del momento en el que los soldados se burlan de \u00c9l con un \u00absalve\u00bb. No son s\u00f3lo las palabras las que llevan el significado sino el coraz\u00f3n. Qu\u00e9 diferente es alabar y burlarse, pero ambos se pueden hacer con las mismas palabras.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed tambi\u00e9n pasa en nuestra vida; podemos ver los mismos acontecimientos dolorosos de dos formas, como una burla cruel o como una palabra de amor de Dios. A Jes\u00fas lo desnudaron y, hay veces, que parece que nos desnudan a nosotros tambi\u00e9n (perdemos una persona amada, hay una crisis en casa que no podemos resolver). Hay veces que no seremos capaces de ver la mano de Dios y lloraremos; pero esto no importa mientras lo pongamos en manos de Dios, como hizo Jes\u00fas. Hay veces que se burlar\u00e1n de nosotros; o perdemos algo que consideramos nuestro; o quiz\u00e1 estamos enfermos y no podemos movernos. Qu\u00e9 triste ser\u00eda que todo acabara aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Dios es tan grande que justo cuando nos sentimos d\u00e9biles y abandonados, somos m\u00e1s fuertes y tenemos a Dios m\u00e1s cerca. Qui\u00e9n se hubiera imaginado que este rey humillado ser\u00eda el rey de tantos corazones.<\/p>\n

Miremos nuestro dolor y pong\u00e1moslo en manos de Dios. Pidamos la gracia para ver como \u00c9l ve. Podemos ir m\u00e1s lejos y ver los sufrimientos del mundo y de la Iglesia. Pidamos por esas personas que sufren y no tienen en qui\u00e9n consolarse. Pidamos por aquellos que necesitan de sentido y amor.<\/p>\n

\u00abLa belleza del arrepentimiento, la belleza del llanto, la belleza de la contrici\u00f3n! Como siempre, la vida cristiana tiene su mejor expresi\u00f3n en la misericordia. Sabio y bendito es el que acoge el dolor ligado al amor, porque recibir\u00e1 el consuelo del Esp\u00edritu Santo que es la ternura de Dios que perdona y corrige. Dios perdona siempre: no lo olvidemos. Dios perdona siempre, incluso los pecados m\u00e1s feos, siempre. El problema est\u00e1 en nosotros, que nos cansamos de pedir perd\u00f3n, nos encerramos en nosotros mismos y no pedimos perd\u00f3n. Ese es el problema; pero \u00c9l est\u00e1 ah\u00ed para perdonar. Si tenemos siempre presente que Dios \u201cno nos trata seg\u00fan nuestros pecados ni nos paga seg\u00fan nuestras faltas\u201d, vivimos en la misericordia y la compasi\u00f3n, y el amor aparece en nosotros. Que el Se\u00f1or nos conceda amar en abundancia, de amar con la sonrisa, con la cercan\u00eda, con el servicio y tambi\u00e9n con el llanto.\u00bb
