\nJesus, I want to receive You in my home and ask You to heal all my illnesses that keep me away from You.<\/p>\n
\nFrom the Holy Gospel according to Luke 4, 38-44
\nAt that time Jesus left the synagogue and went into Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law had a high fever, and they asked Jesus to do something for her. Jesus, standing beside her, energetically commanded the fever, and the fever disappeared. She got up at once and went to serve them.
\nWhen the sun went down, all those who were sick brought them to Jesus, and he laid his hands on each one and cured them of their sicknesses. From many of them demons also came out, crying out, \u201cYou are the Son of God!\u201d But he strongly commanded them to be quiet, because they knew that he was the Messiah.
\nThe next day he went to a lonely place, and the people were looking for him. When they found him, they wanted to keep him, lest he should go away from them; but he said to them, \u201cI must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for that is why I have been sent.\u201d And he went to preach in the synagogues of Judea.

\nThe Jesus who heals illnesses fulfills the wishes of people who are sick and their families. An illness can be seen not as something personal but as a family affair. Above all, illnesses that are severe are felt by everyone in the family. The way in which Christ illuminates this situation in which Peter's family finds itself is to first befriend a person so that he can let him into the house so that he can exercise his healing power in the whole family. If Christ is let in, even a little, he will do great things. The family situation is different because God's presence changes circumstances and people.
\nIllness, even if it is something bad and causes suffering, becomes a door so that God can knock, enter and stay in the house. In difficulties we find that God wants to heal us and help us to recover peace after a time of difficulty and illness, but what happens when things do not go well, when unfortunately we reach the point of death. God puts us through trials so that we can purify our love and learn to love him even in dark moments when it is difficult for us to see him and recognize him in order to show him our love.
\nThe illnesses and things that we want Christ to heal in our family are in various ways, spiritual or material. They appear in our life and push us to ask for help and let God act.<\/p>\n
