\u00a1Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas! Me pongo en tu presencia en este d\u00eda. Creo que est\u00e1s verdaderamente presente aqu\u00ed y especialmente en la Eucarist\u00eda. Perm\u00edteme entrar en tu coraz\u00f3n. Perm\u00edteme descubrir el amor que tienes por m\u00ed.<\/p>\n

From the Holy Gospel according to John 5, 31-47<\/p>\n

En aquel tiempo, Jes\u00fas dijo a los jud\u00edos: \u201cSi yo diera testimonio de m\u00ed, mi testimonio no tendr\u00eda valor; otro es el que da testimonio de m\u00ed y yo bien s\u00e9 que ese testimonio que da de m\u00ed, es v\u00e1lido.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You sent messengers to John the Baptist and he bore witness to the truth. It is not that I want to rely on the testimony of a man. If I say this, it is so that you may be saved. John was the lamp that burned and shone, and you wanted to rejoice for a moment in his light. But I have a better testimony than that of John: the works which the Father has granted me to do, and which I do, bear witness to me and accredit me as the one sent by the Father.<\/p>\n

The Father, who sent me, has borne witness about me. You have never heard his voice or seen his face, and his word does not dwell in you, because you do not believe him whom he has sent.<\/p>\n

You study the Scriptures, thinking that you will find eternal life in them; well, they are the ones that bear witness to me. And you do not want to come to me to have life! I do not seek the glory that comes from men; it is because I know them and I know that the love of God is not in them. I have come in my Father's name and you have not received me. How can it be possible for you to believe that you aspire to receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes only from God?<\/p>\n

Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; there is already someone who accuses you: Moses, in whom you have your hope. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings, how can you believe my words?.<\/p>\n

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/p>\n

En una ocasi\u00f3n, en unas misiones urbanas, me encontr\u00e9 con una se\u00f1ora. Ella ven\u00eda saliendo de trabajar de uno de los edificios cercanos. En una primera impresi\u00f3n, me pareci\u00f3 muy inteligente y de car\u00e1cter fuerte. Y como todos los dem\u00e1s, ten\u00eda mucha prisa. Yo me encontraba en una esquina. Estaba a dos cuadras de una iglesia cat\u00f3lica. Invitaba a muchos, pero pocos respond\u00edan. S\u00f3lo quer\u00eda que hicieran una visita a Jes\u00fas en la Iglesia para encontrarse con \u00c9l y consolar su divino coraz\u00f3n. De repente, nos cruzamos. S\u00ed, una se\u00f1ora holandesa, y yo, un simple seminarista de 25 a\u00f1os. La invit\u00e9 a visitar a Jes\u00fas. Me mir\u00f3 a los ojos y me dijo que cuando era ni\u00f1a, era cat\u00f3lica. Hab\u00eda ido al catecismo en Holanda, pero luego, con el pasar de los a\u00f1os, se alej\u00f3 de la Iglesia. Ella me miraba y unas l\u00e1grimas comenzaron a deslizarse por sus mejillas. Ella estaba en shock. Recordaba su pasado y su presente. Casi acepta la invitaci\u00f3n. Al final, decidi\u00f3 no hacer la visita a la Iglesia.<\/p>\n

Todav\u00eda rezo por aquella mujer, no recuerdo su nombre, pero recuerdo su rostro. De ni\u00f1a hab\u00eda recibido la semilla de la fe y en sus ojos pod\u00eda ver que s\u00f3lo le faltaba un peque\u00f1o S\u00cd, como el de Mar\u00eda, para abrirse al amor de Dios. Casi lo daba, pero probablemente no era a\u00fan el momento. En el Evangelio de hoy, Jes\u00fas nos habla de la fe. Y la fe es el primer \u00abs\u00ed\u00bb a Dios. Jes\u00fas nos da testimonio del Padre, pero solamente nos pide una cosa: un peque\u00f1o-gran salto de fe. Un salto de fe que nos llevar\u00e1 a escuchar su voz, a ver su rostro y a acoger su palabra. Un salto de fe que se traduce en un \u00abs\u00ed\u00bb a Jes\u00fas. Y un s\u00ed a Jes\u00fas es un \u00abs\u00ed al Padre.<\/p>\n

En este momento de oraci\u00f3n, preg\u00fantale a Jes\u00fas: \u00bfA d\u00f3nde me invitas el d\u00eda de hoy? \u00bfCu\u00e1l es ese \u00abs\u00ed\u00bb que quieres que te d\u00e9?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00abTestimonio de Jes\u00fas. A este testimonio nos conduce el Esp\u00edritu Santo. Hoy el mundo sufre, est\u00e1 herido; vivimos en un mundo muy herido, que sufre, especialmente en los m\u00e1s pobres, que son descartados, cuando todas nuestras seguridades humanas han desaparecido, el mundo necesita que le demos a Jes\u00fas. Necesita nuestro testimonio del Evangelio, el Evangelio de Jes\u00fas. Ese testimonio solamente lo podemos dar con la fuerza del Esp\u00edritu Santo. Necesitamos que el Esp\u00edritu nos d\u00e9 ojos nuevos, abra nuestra mente y nuestro coraz\u00f3n para enfrentar este momento y el futuro con la lecci\u00f3n aprendida: somos una sola humanidad. No nos salvamos solos. Nadie se salva solo.\u00bb<\/p>\n
