Preparatory prayer <\/strong>(to put me in the presence of God)<\/em><\/p>\n Good morning, Lord, thank you for the day you give me. I want to spend some time with You and I desire to see Your face, a face in which I find a gaze that does not judge, but looks at me with love. It is You who wishes to be with me before I ask You.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Gospel of the day <\/strong>(to guide your meditation)<\/em><\/p>\n From the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark 8, 22-26 Word of the Lord<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/p>\n God does not make mistakes. It seems that God takes the young man out of the village because he knows that something will go wrong. Indeed, God \u201cdid not do\u201d the right thing, because he did not give the man what he needed. It is very strong to say that God has made a mistake and I believe that to think like this is to have no confidence in Providence.<\/p>\n It is Christ who separates man. God takes us from the place where we are to give us life, a blessing or a surprise. It is Christ who asks us \u201cDo you see anything?\u201d and if God is really with you and if you have set yourself apart with Him, you cannot say that nothing is clear in life. There is always something new when we step away from our routine for a moment to be with Christ. God sets us apart so that the encounter is personal, more private, without too much noise, or scandal.<\/p>\n God, like us, wants to enter into a relationship by asking how we see things. We can say that God is all-knowing, yet he likes to listen to what passes through our minds and hearts. Thus, God is not wrong, for he does not present himself as one who seeks to give results for the sake of results, or to solve the problem itself or our blindness for the sake of blindness. Christ is really interested in knowing how we are in physical health and spiritual health.<\/p>\n Therefore, at this time, let us take the time to tell the Lord what is going on inside us, whether it is joy or sadness, whether it is a desire or disappointment about something, whether it is a request or a thank you. God wants to listen to us and wants to give us what we need, that is what he wants. And let us remember: it is Providence, He does not make mistakes.<\/p>\n \u00abWhat does it mean to have the true light, to walk in the light? It means first of all to abandon false lights: the cold and fatuous light of prejudice against others, because prejudice distorts reality and charges us with rejection against those whom we judge without mercy and condemn without appeal. This is our daily bread! When we gossip about others, we do not walk in the light, we walk in the shadows. Another false light, because it is seductive and ambiguous, is that of personal interest: if we value men and things on the basis of the criterion of our usefulness, our pleasure, our prestige, we are not faithful to the truth in relationships and situations. If we go down this path of seeking only personal interest, we walk in the shadows\u00bb. (H.H.
