Acudi\u00f3 a \u00e9l mucha gente, que llevaba consigo tullidos, ciegos, lisiados, sordomudos y muchos otros enfermos. Los tendieron a sus pies y \u00e9l los cur\u00f3. La gente se llen\u00f3 de admiraci\u00f3n, al ver que los lisiados estaban curados, que los ciegos ve\u00edan, que los mudos hablaban y los tullidos caminaban; por lo que glorificaron al Dios de Israel. Jes\u00fas llam\u00f3 a sus disc\u00edpulos y les dijo: &#8220;Me da l\u00e1stima esta gente, porque llevan ya tres d\u00edas conmigo y no tienen qu\u00e9 comer. No quiero despedirlos en ayunas, porque pueden desmayarse en el camino&#8221;. Los disc\u00edpulos le preguntaron: &#8220;\u00bfD\u00f3nde vamos a conseguir, en este lugar despoblado, panes suficientes para saciar a tal muchedumbre?&#8221;. Jes\u00fas les pregunt\u00f3: &#8220;\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos panes tienen?&#8221;. Ellos contestaron: &#8220;Siete, y unos cuantos pescados&#8221;. Despu\u00e9s de ordenar a la gente que se sentara en el suelo, Jes\u00fas tom\u00f3 los siete panes y los pescados, y habiendo dado gracias a Dios, los parti\u00f3 y los fue entregando a los disc\u00edpulos, y los disc\u00edpulos a la gente. Todos comieron hasta saciarse, y llenaron siete canastos con los pedazos que hab\u00edan sobrado.<\/p>\n<p><em>Word of the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Se puede andar por el mundo pensando que s\u00f3lo cuando pienso en Dios \u00c9l piensa en m\u00ed; que s\u00f3lo cuando le hablo \u00c9l me escucha; que s\u00f3lo cuando me acerco \u00c9l abre sus brazos, en fin\u2026, se puede andar por el mundo pensado que el de la iniciativa soy yo.<\/p>\n<p>Jes\u00fas observa, se preocupa; se adelanta y se compadece, como nos narra el Evangelio de hoy. No le es indiferente el malestar de las personas que le rodean; no le es indiferente el cansancio que padecen, el hambre que sienten y, por lo tanto, act\u00faa. \u00c9l piensa en m\u00ed, me escucha, se acerca, pues para \u00c9l no soy indiferente.<\/p>\n<p>Mis necesidades, enfermedades, preocupaciones las hace suyas y es ah\u00ed donde da una respuesta, que puede salir de un lugar que nadie esperaba; respuesta que se puede evidenciar mediante la curaci\u00f3n de una enfermedad; respuesta que simplemente puede ser dada en la fe de saber que \u00c9l est\u00e1 conmigo\u2026, que Dios se compadece; que en realidad mi vida, mis alegr\u00edas, mis sufrimientos, mis necesidades, no le son indiferentes.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEn esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en que \u00e9l nos am\u00f3. Dios nos am\u00f3 primero; \u00e9l nos ha dado la vida por amor, ha dado la vida y a su Hijo por amor. Por eso cuando encontramos a Dios, siempre hay una sorpresa: es \u00e9l quien nos espera primero: es \u00e9l quien nos encuentra. Esa gente lo segu\u00eda para escucharlo, porque hablaba como uno que tiene autoridad, no como los escribas. Pero \u00e9l miraba a esa gente e iba m\u00e1s all\u00e1. Precisamente porque amaba, dice el Evangelio, se compadeci\u00f3 de ellos, que no es lo mismo que tener pena\u00bb.<\/em><br \/>\n(Homil\u00eda de S.S.
