To proclaim the Gospel (Mk 16:15-20)

Gospel: Mk 16:15-20
At that time Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever refuses to believe will be condemned. These are the miracles that will accompany those who have believed: they will cast out demons in my name, they will speak with new tongues, they will catch snakes in their hands, and if they drink deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed.” The Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God. They went and proclaimed the Gospel everywhere and the Lord acted with them and confirmed their preaching with the miracles they performed.

Fruit: To recognize the missionary work of so many priests, religious, consecrated and lay people who dedicate their lives to proclaiming the Gospel.

Guidelines for reflection:
The objective of the Church's mission is to enlighten all peoples with the light of the Gospel on their historical journey towards God, so that in Him they may have their full realization and fulfillment.

Go and preach.
We must feel the passion to enlighten all peoples with the light of Christ, which shines on the face of the Church, so that all may be reunited in the one human family, under the loving fatherhood of God. It is in this perspective that the disciples of Christ scattered throughout the world work and strive to give their lives through their apostolate. The Church does not act to extend her power or to assert her dominion, but to bring everyone to Christ, the salvation of the world. We place ourselves at the service of humanity, especially the most suffering and marginalized. This going and preaching is focused above all on the witness of a life dedicated to constant and selfless service to others. To proclaim the love of God with our lives to all the people we meet along the way.

2. The miracles that accompany us.
Today, to keep the faith is already a miracle. In the face of so much confusion and systematic attack by relativism (among other ideologies), preserving the faith is a true miracle. The whole of humanity has the radical vocation to return to its source, which is God, the only one in whom it will find its final fulfillment through the restoration of all things in Christ. Let us not expect great miracles in our lives..., if God grants them to us it is because of his infinite goodness, but this is not always the case. He also makes himself present in the small daily miracles: waking up to a new day, having health and well-being in the family, etc. Every day we are accompanied by these miracles without great appearance. They are the constant presence of God in our lives. Preaching God is simple for those who recognize his presence in their daily life. We preach him in our family when we are generous, kind, understanding. We make him present when we read his word together, when we attend mass and receive communion. It is within our reach. Let us make this day an opportunity to proclaim Christ's love to others.

Purpose: Discuss with my family the concrete ways in which we will witness God's love to each other and to the people around us.
