Tú eres todo para mí, Señor, soy lo que soy delante de Ti. No soy más porque los hombres me alaban o menos porque me vituperan. Dame la gracia de una vida auténtica, viviendo de cara a Ti.

Del santo Evangelio según san Mateo 23, 27-32
At that time, Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inside they are full of bones and rottenness. So are you also: outwardly you appear righteous, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived in the time of our fathers, we would not have been their accomplices in the murder of the prophets’! By this you are acknowledging that you are the children of the murderers of the prophets, so stop doing what your fathers started!”.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Hipócritas. Una palabra fuerte que usa Jesús y en la que insiste una y otra vez, manifestando la inmensa necesidad del mundo de una coherencia de vida. Vivimos en una sociedad llena de apariencias, aparentar por fuera lo que no es por dentro. Buscando el agrado de los demás, pero por dentro llenos de maldad, de hipocresía; una vida de máscaras.
Al leer este Evangelio podemos reflexionar, ¿me identifico? ¿Resuena algo en mi corazón? ¿Me preocupo más de la opinión de los demás que de mi propia vida? ¿Qué voz escucho más en mi interior, la de Dios o la de los demás? ¿Para quién estoy viviendo, para parecer algo que no soy, para ser lo que los demás quieren que sea o lo que Dios quiere que sea? Soy lo que soy delante de Dios, eso debo buscar ser ante el mundo. Una vida auténtica es a lo que Dios nos ha llamado a cada uno desde nuestra propia realidad.
Estamos llamados al amor. Dios es amor, entonces estamos llamados a vivir con Dios. No puedo ser alguien con Dios y otro totalmente diferente con los demás. Dios no necesita nuestras explicaciones. Él nos conoce más que nosotros mismo, sabe cuáles son las intenciones profundas de nuestro corazón, no busquemos engañarlo. No hay camino más feliz que el de la voluntad de Dios, conocernos, aceptarnos y superarnos es nuestra misión de cada día.
«Que el Señor nos dé la gracia de saber discernir cuándo hay un espíritu que quiere destruirnos con ensañamiento, y cuándo el mismo espíritu quiere consolarnos con las apariencias del mundo, con la vanidad. Pero no olvidemos: cuando hay saña, hay odio, la venganza del diablo derrotado. Así es hasta hoy, en la Iglesia.»
