LIFE IN CR

A style of evangelization that makes
present the Kingdom

The five elements

of lifestyle in Regnum Christi

Jesus may be calling you to a closer relationship with Him, and Regnum Christi can be a place for this. The lifestyle of a Regnum Christi member in any of its vocations is born of a personal encounter with Christ who invites you along with others to live the mission of making the Kingdom present.

This lifestyle thas its own spirituality traits and a way of living the mission that is developed in five elementsThe community discernment process in Regnum Christi is based on the following: team/community life, apostolate, spiritual life, formation and accompaniment. In addition, the proper mode of community discernment in Regnum Christi is called Encounter with Christ. (RGFRC 2-5)

RC team/community

The basic community that energizes the life of Regnum Christi, in which we learn to make the Kingdom present, is called a “team”. It is a small community of faith, like that of the first Christians. We meet to pray and have what we call "an encounter with Christ", we work together in evangelization, and we support each other in the day-to-day Christian life. They are usually once a week.

Spiritual life

All members share a common mission and spirituality, which each one lives according to his or her specific identity and vocation. In the journey of spiritual growth, we have a spiritual director who accompanies us in the following of Christ, as recommended by the Church. At least once a year we make Spiritual Exercises of several days, and we renew our yes to Christ in Regnum Christi.

Apostolate

In addition to a naturally apostolic life (that natural irradiation of what one carries in one's heart, which is to be an apostle), the members of Regnum Christi feel very intensely a call to commit ourselves in some concrete apostolate, and thus we make real the response to the call of Jesus who sends us to serve others and to be his apostles.

Training

Formation is important for the members of Regnum Christi of all vocations, oriented to discover in Christ the meaning of life, to configure ourselves to Him and to fulfill our mission of making Him present through His presence in us. It is our own living that shapes us, but in the ordinary life of the laity there are times dedicated especially to study and formation (study circles), and the consecrated branches also have specific formation according to their respective Constitutions.

Accompaniment

It is concretized especially in personal and sacramental attention, team life and apostolic formation and follow-up. It is a way of the presence of Christ himself who always accompanies us.

In addition...
the Encounter with Christ

As a team, the members and those who want to participate and get to know Regnum Christi come together to have “Encounter with Christ”, We read the Gospel, Christ makes himself present among us, and we contemplate our lives in the light of this encounter, listening to what the Holy Spirit tells us.

Making Christ present, the Kingdom in person

The Regnum Christi charism for adolescents and children

ECYD

In the ECYD the adolescents live the charism of Regnum Christi according to their own age, they find a way to grow in their friendship with Christ and to be formed as apostles at the service of the Church. One can join Regnum Christi as a lay person from the age of 16, but the charism of Regnum Christi can also be lived from an early age.

Legionaries of Christ, consecrated women and men and consecrated laity

Consecrated life in the CR

One can be called to Regnum Christi as a lay person or as a consecrated person. And within the consecrated life in Regnum Christi there are three vocations: the Legionaries of Christ (who are religious and priests), the consecrated women and the consecrated laity.

The four vocations share the same charism, the same identity and mission, but have their own particular way of living it, and among them The relationship is one of complementarity and co-responsibility.
