Señor, vengo ante ti para adorarte y alabarte. Tú eres mi Dios y mereces mi adoración. Quiero que todo este rato de oración sea para gloria y alabanza tuya. Me pongo en tus manos y te pido me ayudes a colaborar con tu gracia y así poder ser mejor cada día. Padre Santo, ayúdame a ser un buen hijo tuyo. Jesús mío, permíteme imitarte un poco más hoy. Espíritu Santo, haz que sea siempre dócil a tus inspiraciones.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to John 1:35-42
At that time John the Baptist was with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he passed by and said, “This is the Lamb of God. When the two disciples heard these words, they followed Jesus, and when he turned to them, and saw that they were following him, he asked them, ”What do you seek?“ They replied, ”Where do you live, Rabbi?“ (Rabbi means ”teacher‘). He said to them, ’Come and see.“ So they went and saw where he lived and stayed with him that day. It was about four o'clock in the afternoon. Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John the Baptist said and followed Jesus. The first one Andrew met was his brother Simon, and he said to him, ”We have found the Messiah“ (which means ”the anointed one‘). He brought him to where Jesus was, and Jesus looked at him and said to him, ’You are Simon, son of John. You shall be called Kephas“ (which means Peter, that is, ”rock‘).

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Es la pregunta que tal vez me diriges en este día y que con tu ayuda, Señor, puedo responderte. ¿Qué busco en mi vida? ¿Busco algo? ¿Busco a Alguien? Buscar es importante porque ayuda a tener claro el fin de mi vida, y así, poner los medios correctos para alcanzarlo. Los apóstoles buscaban a alguien que les llenara la vida de felicidad, que satisficiera sus necesidades más profundas. Por eso siguieron al Bautista, por ello siguieron su consejo y se arriesgaron a seguirte de lejos.
Ellos te preguntan: ¿Dónde vives? No porque les interesara el estrato social en que habitabas, o por la curiosidad de saber si vivías en una mansión. Lo que ellos buscaban era conocerte íntimamente, y para conocer a alguien, el hogar, la casa, es el mejor lugar.
Lo mejor de todo es tu respuesta: “venid y veréis”. Con ello aceptas que los dos inquietos apóstoles vayan a tu lado. Tú tienes la respuesta a todos mis interrogantes, pero es necesario que te los haga, que yo mismo me los cuestione. Algunas respuestas a ellos no las entenderé ahora o no tendré respuesta, pero con el tiempo me irás mostrando dónde vives, es decir, dónde encontrarte, dónde servirte, dónde conocerte.
Señor, haz que sea una persona inquieta por conocerte cada día un poco más.
«Esta pregunta llama a la puerta de nuestra conciencia: ¿qué es lo que quieres en la vida? ¿Qué sentido le das al tiempo? ¿Cómo gestionas los momentos de tu historia personal? ¿Tienes presente tu futuro de manera definitiva y tu contribución al bien de todos?. Todas estas preguntas tienen una respuesta: ‘Venid y lo veréis’, la respuesta de Jesús, que se mantiene como un modelo para todos los peregrinos de la verdad».
