Señor Jesús, ayúdame a vivir mi día en tu presencia, que Tú seas mi fuerza en el combate, mi voluntad para hacer posible cualquier tarea. Que vea en Ti el apoyo seguro y firme para no dejarme arrastrar por las tentaciones del mundo.

From the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew 21:28-32
At that time Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people, “What do you think about this? A man who had two sons went to the first and ordered him, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today. He replied, ’I am coming, Lord, but he did not go. The father went to the second and said the same thing. He said to him, ‘I do not want to go,‘ but he repented and went. Which of the two did the father's will?’ They answered him, ”The second.“.
Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes have gone ahead of you in the way of the kingdom of God. For John came and preached the way of righteousness, and they did not believe him; but the tax collectors and prostitutes believed him. You, even after you have seen, have neither repented nor believed in him.”.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
El Evangelio nos recuerda algo que a menudo olvidamos: las palabras pueden carecer de sentido. Las promesas son vacías cuando no van seguidas de acciones. El segundo hijo es arrogante pero su acción muestra su bondad. El primer hijo suena cooperativo pero no cumple su promesa. Y nosotros, ¿hacemos promesas a otros que se escapan rápidamente por la ventana?
¿Cuál de lo dos hijos somos? Reflexionemos cómo va nuestra vida, qué decisiones tomamos, qué palabras usamos, qué voluntad ponemos para realizar las cosas de cada día.
¿Pensamos en en nuestra relación con Dios? Pidamos al Señor que nos ayude a encontrar tiempo para pensar en las cosas que realmente importan pues no podemos olvidar que hay que vivir de cara a Dios y no de los hombres.
Necesitamos ingeniárnoslas para ver cómo podemos hacer feliz a la Persona que nos amó y ama tanto, buscando lo que más le agrada. Y lo que Cristo quiere es nuestro corazón y nuestra vida entera, para que trabajemos junto a Él en la viña de nuestro entorno social, para poder realizarnos dándonos a nosotros mismos y ayudando a los demás; dando testimonio de su amor.
«¿Salgo de mí para ir cada día hacia el Señor? ¿Tengo sentimientos y gestos de piedad con los necesitados? ¿Tomo las decisiones importantes en la presencia de Dios? Dejémonos provocar al menos por uno de estos tres estímulos. Estaremos más en sintonía con el deseo de Jesús en el Evangelio: no perder nada de cuanto el Padre le ha dado [mandado]. En medio de tantas voces del mundo que nos hacen perder el sentido de la existencia, sintonicémonos con la voluntad de Jesús, resucitado y vivo: haremos del momento presente un alba de resurrección.»
