Preparatory prayer (to put myself in God's presence)

Creo en Ti, Señor. Sé que eres una persona viva y real que me escuchas en este momento y que siempre me acompañas. Gracias por haber resucitado, Jesús. Gracias por haber salido victorioso del sepulcro porque de esta manera has dado sentido a toda mi existencia. Aumenta mi fe, mi confianza en Ti y mi caridad. Concédeme un celo ardiente para predicarte a todos los que no te conocen o necesitan de Ti.

From the Holy Gospel according to John 20:1-9

On the first day after the Sabbath, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw the stone that closed it rolled away. She ran and came to the house where Simon Peter and the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, were, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord from the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him”.

Peter and the other disciple went out on the way to the tomb. They both ran together, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and came first to the tomb, and stooping down, he looked at the linen cloths laid on the ground, but did not go in.

Now Simon Peter also, who had been following him, came and entered the tomb. And he saw the linen cloths lying on the ground, and the shroud, which had been on Jesus' head, lying not with the linen cloths on the ground, but folded up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had come first to the tomb, and he saw and believed, because until then they had not understood the scriptures, that Jesus must rise from the dead.

Son acciones que iluminan mi oración de hoy. Los dos apóstoles realizan los mismos gestos y ambos entienden que no estás muerto, sino que has resucitado. Tal vez esto me ayude también a mí a descubrirte vivo en mi vida.
Correr. Es la reacción inmediata que Pedro y Juan tienen al escuchar el testimonio de María Magdalena. Ellos corren al sepulcro como quien corre al encuentro de lo deseado por mucho tiempo. Corren tal vez por curiosidad. Corren por que tienen esperanza, tienen la ilusión de encontrar, encontrar un muerto o un vivo, pero siempre encontrar algo. Correr puede expresar esa sed que llevo en mi alma de salvación, de amor, de vida eterna. Correr es símbolo del deseo de Dios. ¿Sigo corriendo en mi vida, es decir, deseando encontrarte?
Entrar. Es la actitud ante tus planes. Pedro y Juan tienen que entrar en el sepulcro. Entrar para los apóstoles fue comprobar que sus ideas, planes y pensamientos no eran los mismos que los tuyos. Ellos esperaban hallarte muerto, y sin embargo no fue así. En mi vida entro cuando sé descubrir lo que quieres de mí y me dejo sorprender por tus designios. Entrar es vivir en la búsqueda de tu Voluntad y dejarme sorprender y guiar.
Ver. Los dos discípulos ven los lienzos. Ver es algo fundamental. Ellos no te ven a Ti. Ven los lienzos en los que habían envuelto tu cadáver, y por ellos es que pueden luego creer en que sigues vivo. Esto en mi vida se puede manifestar en mi capacidad de ver los instrumentos que vas poniendo en mi vida para que pueda llegar a Ti: una oración bien hecha, los sacramentos, un director espiritual, el sabio consejo de un amigo, etc… Todos ellos son los lienzos que me ayudan a descubrirte vivo y operante en mi existencia.
Creer. Es la última acción y no por ello la menos importante. Necesito creer de verdad que estás vivo. A ello se llega por el deseo de Ti que arde en mi interior, por la Providencia divina que actúa en mi vida, por los instrumentos que pones en mi camino para mostrarte cercano. Creer es don tuyo. Creer no es sólo acto de conocimiento, es acto de donación, es acto de entrega, es acto de destapar el regalo que me fue dado en el bautismo. Es lanzarse hacia lo que no se ve con certeza de que no seré defraudado.

Ayúdame Señor a creer en Ti. Gracias por la salvación que has logrado para mí. Y permíteme hacer una experiencia de tu existencia real y operante en mi vida.

«Así como los Apóstoles en la mañana de Pascua, no obstante las dudas e incertidumbres, corrieron hasta el lugar de la resurrección atraídos por el amanecer feliz de una nueva esperanza, así también sigamos nosotros en este santo domingo la llamada de Dios a la comunión plena y apresuremos el paso hacia ella.»
