Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)
Holy Spirit, I ask you to come and help me recognize the presence of Jesus in my life who now wants to meet me and heal me. Virgin Mary, pray for me, so that I may have more faith in Jesus.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the holy Gospel according to Matthew 9:27-31
At that time, two blind men followed Jesus, crying out, “Have compassion on us, Son of David.” When they reached the house, the blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” They answered, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “May it be done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Jesus sternly ordered them, “Be careful that no one hears of this!” But they went out and spoke of him throughout the region.
Word of the Lord.
Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Jesus, when he is with a person, accepts and loves them as they are. He is not interested in the ideal you have of yourself, but in you at this moment.
How are you? Take a moment to think about it and tell Jesus.
The blind men from the Gospel left their safety and shouted along the road, “Have compassion on us, Son of David.” What faith these men had to go out in that way to meet Jesus!
May they be an example to you of simplicity, authenticity, and courage in meeting God, who is also truly man and understands you.
«Anyone can invoke the holy name of the Lord, who is faithful and merciful Love, in whatever situation they may find themselves. God will never say “no” to a heart that sincerely invokes Him.» (H.H. Francis, Catechesis of August 22, 2018).
Dialogue with Christ
This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.
Purpose
Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.
Like the blind men in the Gospel, go out to meet Jesus in a friend, ask her or him to pray for you, and you pray for her or him.
