Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)

Lord, I thank you for a new day in which you give me the grace to be a witness of your love. Today, as yesterday, I realize that I am still weak and my desires to be better for you often do not correspond to reality, yet do not let me forget that my weakness and my frailty are always the object of your mercy and your infinite love.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 21, 29-33

At that time, Jesus proposed this comparison to his disciples: “Look at the fig tree and the other trees. When you see them begin to bear fruit, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see the things I have told you about, you know that the kingdom of God is near. I assure you that before this generation dies, all this will be fulfilled. Heaven and earth may cease to exist, but my words will not cease to be fulfilled”.

Word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

In our life there are always days, calls, moments... that are very important, and they are almost always accompanied by a previous preparation. What will I wear..., what will I wear..., how will I say it, what will I do..., are words that come almost spontaneously out of our mouth or that come suddenly to our mind.

Lord, today you tell me that your Kingdom is near but..., I do not see it, I do not hear it, I do not know where to look. I do not know how to prepare my heart for that moment that I know is infinitely more important than any other day, call or commitment.
I look for fruits in the trees, in my daily life and many times I find nothing, Lord. Many times I come across trees but..., they are without fruit; I come across autumns that seem not to end..., I do not know how..., what can I expect.

However, I hear deep inside me that you are telling me: look again..., that your Kingdom is here, that autumns pass and if you look more closely at the trees without leaves... they also have their beauty. You tell me that preparation is in me day by day. That every day you come to visit me in each Eucharist and the best way to prepare me is..., love. In receiving it and in giving it.

You make me see life with its charms and toils; with its autumns and summers, as a waiting in which the best form of preparation is love.

Give me the grace, Lord, to live today in that key of waiting; loving every moment, every event, whether bad or good, for it will pass, but your love will always remain.

«Even in our days there is no lack of natural and moral calamities, adversity and misfortunes of every kind. All things pass away,» the Lord reminds us, "only he, his Word, remains as a guiding light, animating our steps and always forgiving us, because he is at our side. It is only necessary to look at him and he changes our hearts. May the Virgin Mary help us to trust in Jesus, the solid foundation of our life, and to persevere with joy in his love.
(Homily of H.H. Francis, November 15, 2015).

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Purpose

Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.

To live my day in the key of love, that is, trying to make an act of charity towards others so that my heart will be more ready to receive it in the Eucharist.

Farewell

We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
