«Jesus Christ, king of my story» -

Conoce el origen de la ilustración de Cristo Rey 2024

The image, of figurative art, reminds us that God himself became flesh, taking on our humanity, for it is not only the God of the Old Testament where no man can see his face without falling dead to the ground, but it is Jesus Christ himself who revealed to us the face of God!

The illustration is kept in a very simple and minimalist style, in the mantle and tunic there are no shadows because Jesus Christ is Light of light. The red color of the tunic symbolizes the martyrdom He voluntarily assumed, and the blue mantle is a symbol of His resurrection and divinity. Jesus shows us his glorious wounds in the form of the cross, reminding us that he conquered death, conquered it for us and, together with the crown, reminds us that he is Savior and King of the world.

Thus, the illustration reminds us that Jesus is the King of our lives and of our history, and that if we go through life weary and burdened, we can turn to him to find rest (cf. Mt 11:28-30).
