Hola, Jesús, ayúdame a entender con el corazón que del Padre salí para venir al mundo y dar testimonio de la verdad. Ayúdame a entender que durante mi vida debo prepararme para dejar este mundo y regresar a Ti, no esperar hasta mi último día para ser tuyo.

From the Holy Gospel according to John 3:31-36
“He who comes from above is above all; but he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the things of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies of what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. He who accepts his testimony certifies that God is true. He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, because God has given him his Spirit without measure.
The Father loves his Son and has placed everything in his hands. He who believes in the Son has eternal life. But he who is rebellious against the Son will not see life, because the divine wrath endures against him.”.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Vale la pena atribuir al Bautista estas palabras referentes a su propia misión y a la misión de Jesús. Quien lea estas líneas, tómese la molestia de leer el capítulo tres del Evangelio de Juan; se darán cuenta de que este discurso tiene su origen en la disputa entre algunos judíos y los discípulos del Bautista, siendo «la envidia» la causa de esta discusión. El Bautista les recuerda los puntos esenciales de su misión como precursor, como aquel que ha sido enviado a preparar los caminos del Señor, la voz que grita en el desierto haciendo énfasis en que esta voz grita una sola palabra, de hecho, la Palabra por excelencia, es decir, Cristo Jesús.
Cristo ha venido del cielo, por eso está por encima de todos, no con arrogancia, sino con humildad y entrega tierna y generosa; Cristo da testimonio de lo que ha visto y oído, como Él mismo declarará en la última cena «los llamo amigos porque les he dado a conocer todo lo que le he oído decir a mi Padre». Nadie acepta su testimonio porque «vino a los suyos y los suyos no lo recibieron», sin embargo, el que acepta su testimonio ha nacido de Dios y certifica que Dios es veraz.
El Bautista es el enviado de Dios, él habla la Palabra de Dios, porque Dios le ha concedido sin medida su Espíritu.
«También la misión de la Iglesia y la de cada uno de nosotros, para ser fiel y fructífera, está llamada a “injertarse” en la de Jesús. Se trata de regenerar continuamente en la oración la evangelización y el apostolado, para dar un claro testimonio cristiano, no según los proyectos humanos, sino según el plan y el estilo de Dios.»
