Señor Jesús, gracias por el don de la Eucaristía. Aumenta mi fe para que pueda aprender a descubrirte en ella y dame la gracia de comprender que mi vida no es sólo para mí, sino que está llamada a ser un don para los demás.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 9, 11-17
At that time, Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of God to the crowd and healed the sick. When evening was falling, the twelve apostles came to him and said, “Send the people away so that they may go to the towns and villages to seek lodging and food, for here we are in a lonely place.” He said to them, “You give them something to eat. But they said to him, ”We have only five loaves of bread and two fish, unless we go ourselves to buy food for all these people. They were about five thousand men. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty.” So they did, and they all sat down. Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said a prayer of thanksgiving over them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and twelve baskets were filled with what was left over.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
El día de hoy celebramos la fiesta del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, y agradecemos el don inmenso que nos hizo al quedarse con nosotros en la Eucaristía. A partir de la última cena, Jesús decidió hacerse presente en la vida de quien creyese en Él de una nueva manera, a través del pan y del vino.
Cristo nos ve necesitados de fortaleza para poder mantenernos fieles a su Palabra; nos ve necesitados de su amor y de su misericordia y, por eso, decide hacer algo al respecto: quedarse con nosotros. Jesús ve las necesidades de los demás y no se queda con los brazos cruzados: sale al encuentro, acoge, ayuda. Todo esto lo hace para enseñarnos cómo nosotros, cristianos, debemos actuar ante las necesidades de los demás.
«Denles ustedes de comer», estas palabras se pronunciaron hace cerca de dos mil años y todavía hoy deben resonar en el corazón de todo cristiano. No debemos contemplar el dolor ajeno y mirar hacia otro lado esperando que alguien más venga y ayude. Dios nos pone en el lugar indicado, en el momento indicado, para que con nuestras cualidades y defectos podamos extender la mano y levantar a quien lo necesita.
«La fiesta del Corpus Domini es un misterio de atracción y de transformación en Él. Y es escuela de amor concreto, paciente y sacrificado, como Jesús en la cruz. Nos enseña a ser más acogedores y disponibles con quienes están en búsqueda de comprensión, ayuda, aliento y están marginados y solos. La presencia de Jesús vivo en la eucaristía es como una puerta, una puerta abierta entre el templo y el camino, entre la fe y la historia, entre la ciudad de Dios y la ciudad del hombre. Expresión de la piedad eucarística popular son las procesiones con el Santísimo Sacramento, que en la solemnidad de hoy se llevan a cabo en muchos países».
