Señor, te agradezco por permitirme un nuevo amanecer. Hoy quiero encontrarme contigo, quiero entrar en tu presencia y permanecer en ella a lo largo de este día. Ayúdame a escucharte a través de tu Palabra.

From the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark 6, 7-13
At that time Jesus called the Twelve, sent them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey: no bread, no knapsack, no money in their belts, but only a staff, sandals and a single tunic.
And he said to them, “When you enter a house, stay in it until you leave that place. If anywhere they do not receive you or listen to you, when you leave that place, shake the dust off your feet, as a warning to them.”.
The disciples went out to preach conversion. They cast out demons, anointed the sick with oil and healed them.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Jesús es un maestro que enseña no sólo con discursos y teorías, sino que se dedica también a practicar obras a través de las cuales el Reino de Dios se pueda hacer presente entre los hombres.
Desde el comienzo de sus predicaciones le vemos curando enfermos, expulsando demonios y haciendo milagros. Ahora envía a sus apóstoles a predicar. Les da la misión de ir a predicar aquello que han visto, oído y experimentado con su maestro.
Y esto es precisamente lo que nosotros vivimos como cristianos, pues experimentamos el amor de Dios en nosotros y somos testigos de los milagros que Él obra en nuestro entorno. Y de allí surge nuestro envío misionero. Jesús, que se nos manifiesta, nos envía a anunciar a los demás todo lo que hemos oído, visto y experimentado en nuestro camino de aprendizaje junto a nuestro maestro.
«Dios siempre nos ama primero y con este amor nos encuentra y nos llama. Nuestra vocación personal viene del hecho de que somos hijos e hijas de Dios en la Iglesia, su familia, hermanos y hermanas en esa caridad que Jesús nos testimonia. Sin embargo, todos tienen una dignidad humana fundada en la llamada divina a ser hijos de Dios, para convertirse por medio del sacramento del bautismo y por la libertad de la fe en lo que son desde siempre en el corazón de Dios.»
