Thy Kingdom come!

Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)

One more day in which I have the grace to meet you. One more day in which I have the need to be with you...thank you for this desire for you, Lord.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark 6, 53-56

At that time Jesus and his disciples finished the crossing of the lake and landed at Gennesaret. As soon as they got out of the boat, the people recognized them, and from all that region they flocked to him wherever they knew he was, and carried the sick to him on stretchers. Wherever he went, in the villages, towns or hamlets, the people laid their sick on the street and begged him to let them at least touch the end of his cloak; and as many as touched him were cured.

Word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

One of the most beautiful and humble acts that exist is to fall in love, since it implies that one accepts that one needs another person. It requires knowing and accepting oneself to be in need... it requires making oneself vulnerable and recognizing that one is disturbed by the absence of the loved one.

It is an act of humility because it requires showing what you really are... it requires taking off your clothes; removing your defense mechanisms, looking yourself in the eye and saying: «without you I can't do anything».

To recognize myself as weak and sick before God is a true act of love. I am only what I am under God's gaze.
This recognition of my need for God is what leads me to know myself more deeply and, there, this knowledge of what I truly am, leads me to know, to experience God more deeply, more intimately. It leads me to seek God more joyfully, more intensely, to desire more deeply to touch Him, to see Him. To desire to live with Him and in Him.

Lord Jesus, I desire with all my heart to be able to live only under your gaze, so that I may know myself and know you more and more each day.

I need you, Lord...I love you, Lord.

«God created the universe but creation does not end, He continually sustains what He has created. In the Gospel we see the other creation of God, that of Jesus, who comes to re-create what has been spoiled by sin. Jesus is seen among the people, when they touched him they were saved, it is the re-creation. This second creation is more marvelous than the first, this second work is more marvelous. In addition, there is another work, that of perseverance in faith, which is done by the Holy Spirit».
(Cf. Homily of H.H. Francis, February 9, 2015, in Santa Marta).

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Purpose

Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.

Seeking to touch God in my neighbor through an act of hidden charity.

Farewell

We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
