Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)
Lord Jesus, my friend, I am in your hands and I want to remain there. I want nothing more than to live in your love and breathe in your hands. What is my life without you? I am nothing for You bring me the peace for which my heart thirsts. You bring me words of life and today I want to hear them.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 8:16-18
At that time Jesus said to the crowd: “No one lights a candle and covers it with a vessel or hides it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be discovered, nothing secret that will not be known or made public. See then if you are understanding correctly, for to him who has will more be given; but from him who does not have will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”.
Word of the Lord.
Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
“He who has ears to hear, let him hear” The noise and hustle and bustle of life often prevent man's heart from being attentive to the voice of God speaking in the depths. It is enough to think for a moment of the sea. We can swim, go back and forth, dive into the most exciting dives... but if we stop for a moment to contemplate in silence the species and listen to the harmony that exists in it, we can realize that this is another world.
The same happens with our hearts. We can fill them with many different experiences, just think of the large number of music that comes to us throughout the day or, also, in the large number of images that come to our mind thanks to the Internet, instagram, etc. Finally our feelings may go up or down depending on the news we see in Flipboard or the newspaper that comes to our home.
So many things go through our heads and touch our hearts. And I believe that today Jesus makes us ask ourselves for a moment: What place does the Word of God have in my life? How much time do I dedicate to pray in silence to listen to what Jesus wants to tell me? Without a doubt, it is necessary to have ears to hear.
Lord, I am yours, what do you want from me? My life is yours and I do not want to do anything else outside of your will. I want to live totally dedicated to seek what you want. I am yours and I was born for you. I want to have an open heart for whatever.
«Jesus speaks to us about the lamp, which is not placed under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand. She is light and the Gospel of John tells us that the mystery of God is light and that the light came into the world and the darkness did not accept it. A light that cannot be hidden, but that serves to illuminate. One of the traits of the Christian, who has received the light of Baptism and must give it. The Christian is a witness. And precisely the word witness contains one of the peculiarities of Christian attitudes. Indeed, a Christian who carries this light must make it be seen because he is a witness. And if a Christian prefers not to let the light of God be seen and prefers his own darkness, then he lacks something and is not a complete Christian».

Dialogue with Christ
This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.
Purpose
Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.
Today I will take a moment to visit a church or shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary to ask her, who was attentive to the Word of God, to help me to live my day to day life by letting my heart open the door to this Word of life and to respond constantly with a fiat generous.
Farewell
We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.
Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!
Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
