During the III Ordinary General Assembly, the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi elected the new council of the General Government, which will accompany the life and mission of the Society for the next six years, on February 3, 2026. This community discernment, lived in a climate of listening and shared responsibility, expresses the confidence of the consecrated women in a service of authority aimed at safeguarding the charism received and sustaining its apostolic projection in the Church and in today's world. The new government is called to strengthen internal communion and to accompany the challenges of this historical moment, from a perspective of creative fidelity and service.

The general government was formed as follows: Nancy Nohrden, general director; Perla Guadalupe González de la Fuente, vicar general and first general councilor; Eugenia (Uge) Álvarez Espinoza, second general councilor; Kathleen Murphy, third general councilor; and Camila Melo, fourth general councilor.

This council, composed of the director general and four councilors, plays a key role in accompanying the life and mission of the Society of Apostolic Life. Among its principal functions are to collaborate closely with the general director in the exercise of her responsibilities, to offer its consent or advice as provided for by universal and proper law, and to dedicate itself as a priority to this service, avoiding taking on other tasks that might interfere with its mission.

Currently, the elected councilors general perform governmental or support functions in their respective territories. After the conclusion of the assembly, the corresponding process will be initiated to determine how they will be replaced.

Perla Guadalupe González de la Fuente, Vicar General and First Councilor, was born in Saltillo, Mexico, on October 9, 1980 and consecrated on August 21, 1999. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and Development and a Master's degree in Family Sciences from the University of Saltillo, Mexico, and a Master's degree in Family Sciences from the University of Saltillo, Mexico. John Paul II Institute and with a bachelor's degree in Formation of Formators from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has developed his mission in various areas of formation and government, both locally and territorially. He was an assistant at the Monterrey student center, responsible for the ECYD in Querétaro and director of the young women's section. From 2014 to 2018, she coordinated the national collaborators program and, from 2016 to 2022, she was director of the Lomas Anáhuac community. From 2018 to 2024, she served as territorial councilor in Mexico and Central America and, later, as territorial director of the Consecrated Sisters of Regnum Christi in that same territory.

Eugenia Alvarez Espinoza, second general councilor, was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on August 16, 1980 and was consecrated on August 21, 1999. She holds a degree in Education and Development from the Anahuac University and in Religious Sciences by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He holds a canonical license in Spiritual Theology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Spiritual Theology and Ecclesiology at the Facultés Loyola de Paris. His formation includes specialized studies in spiritual exercises and the theology of religious life. She has developed her mission in youth ministry, spiritual accompaniment, teaching and government at the local, territorial and general levels. She is currently General Councilor and resides at the headquarters of the General Government. With this election, she begins her second term in this service.

Kathleen Murphy, third General Councilor, was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on July 18, 1975 and consecrated on September 1, 1994. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and Development from Anahuac University and a Master's degree in Spiritual Accompaniment and Vocational Discernment from Comillas Pontifical University. For eleven years she served in Atlanta as a formation instructor in Pinecrest Academy. Later she was community director in Cincinnati and Chicago, where she spiritually accompanied the women's section and young adults, in addition to giving formation courses to consecrated women in temporary vows. She also collaborated in Madrid in the accompaniment of consecrated women during their studies. She has been a member of the international commission of spiritual life and of the territorial council of North America, of which she is currently territorial director.

Camila Melo, fourth general councilor, was born in Brasilia, Brazil, on September 6, 1979, and was consecrated on February 22, 2004. She graduated as a dentist from the University of Brasilia and completed her formation in São Paulo and Curitiba, Brazil, and in Greenville, Rhode Island, USA. She has developed her mission in the formative and pastoral fields, serving as director of the youth section in Rio de Janeiro. She later completed a formation course for formators in Rome and collaborated in the formation center in Madrid. Upon her return to Brasilia, she was community director and responsible for the youth section of Regnum Christi.

This election concludes the service of the councilors Elena Bartolomé, África Pemán, Viviana Limón and Jacinta Curran, to whom the Consecrated Sisters of Regnum Christi express their gratitude for their generous and responsible dedication during a six-year period marked by discernment, institutional consolidation and the promotion of the apostolic mission, in a significant period of the life of the Society of Apostolic Life at the service of the Church.
