Within the framework of the II General Assembly of the Consecrated Laity, was elected the new general government who will accompany the life and mission of this Society of Apostolic Life in the coming years. With this election, the consecrated laity entrust to a new team the responsibility of safeguarding their vocational identity, strengthening communion and sustaining the apostolic dynamism in dialogue with the current challenges of the Church and the world.
The new General Government was composed of Félix Gómez Rueda, reelected as Director General for a second term; José Mateos Brito, as first General Councilor; Guillermo Campillo, as second General Councilor; Antonio Maza, as third General Councilor; Emilio Martínez, as fourth General Councilor; Radek Biernacki, as fifth General Councilor; and Abraham Monroy, as General Treasurer.
Félix Gómez Rueda was born on February 9, 1966 in Spain and joined the consecrated life on August 27, 1989. He is an industrial engineer from the Universidad Anáhuac México Norte and has a master's degree in Economics and Administration, Finance and Philosophy, as well as a doctorate in Education from the same university.
Throughout his career he has served mainly in the area of institutional management and general government. He was territorial administrator of Mexico for almost two decades, administrator of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte and general councilor of the Regnum Christi Consecrated Laity. Since 2020 he has held the position of general director of the Consecrated Laity, is part of the General Board of Directors of the Regnum Christi Federation and of the Council of the Network of Anahuac Universities. In 2026 he was re-elected as Director General of the Consecrated Laity.
José Mateos Brito was born on September 1, 1970 in Mexico and joined the consecrated life on September 15, 1995. Throughout more than three decades he has developed an extensive service in government, formation and educational management. He has been youth director and administrator of Highlands College in Dallas, secretary general of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte, national director of Red Misión and director of the collaborators program in Mexico, in addition to promoting various apostolic initiatives linked to the Theology of the Body.
He has also served as advisor and territorial director of the Mexico-USA Consecrated Laity and as director of the Formation Center in Mexico. He currently resides in Santiago, Chile, where he serves as vice rector of integral formation at Finis Terrae University, general coordinator of vocation promotion, delegate for common works in Chile and responsible for safe environments for the Lay Consecrated in that country.
Guillermo Campillo was born on January 15, 1984 in Hermosillo, Mexico, and was consecrated on August 15, 2004. He is an industrial engineer for Management and holds a degree in Religious Sciences from the Universidad Anahuac Mexico, with studies in formation for formators at the Gregorian University. He has focused his service in accompaniment, spiritual direction and vocation ministry. Between 2015 and 2023, he was in charge of the territorial ECYD in Monterrey. Since 2021 he has served as delegate of the director general for the internal life of the consecrated in Mexico and for the Territorial Direction College of Mexico and Central America, and since August 2025 he has been director of the candidate.
Antonio Maza was born on December 27, 1976 in Mexico City and joined the consecrated life on September 15, 1995. He has a degree in Economics and Administration from the University of Dallas and an MBA from the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Sur. He has served in the territorial administration of Regnum Christi in Italy, Central Europe and North America, as well as in campus ministry and in Misión Maya. Since 2015 he has worked at Divine Mercy University, where he currently serves as Vice President for Finance and Administration.
Emilio Martínez was born on June 16, 1968 in Vitoria, Spain, and was consecrated in Regnum Christi on August 10, 1986. He holds a doctorate in History from the Complutense University of Madrid and a doctorate in Ecclesiastical History from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He has served as a formator, university professor and researcher, and has accompanied various institutional processes of Regnum Christi, including the work of statutory revision. He has served as territorial director of Europe and Chile and is currently a member of the Territorial Board of Directors of Regnum Christi in Spain.
Radek Biernacki was born on March 2, 1979 in Krakow, Poland, and entered the consecrated life on September 27, 1998. He has a degree in Economics and postgraduate studies in Philosophy, Humanities, Instructional Design and Technology, as well as a doctorate in Economics. He has collaborated in youth and university education and has developed his academic work in Spain and Chile. He is currently a researcher and university professor at Finis Terrae University in Santiago, Chile.
Abraham Monroy was born on January 2, 1986 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and joined the consecrated life on August 15, 2004. He holds a degree in engineering from the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte. He has served in various areas of economic and administrative management of Regnum Christi, as assistant of the territorial administration in Mexico, territorial bursar of the Mexico-USA Lay Consecrated and administrative director of the Network of Semper Altius Colleges. He currently serves as general counselor, director of the community of Lomas Anahuac and director of finances for the works of Regnum Christi in Mexico.
The Director General, with the support of his council and the General Treasurer, assumes this service with the desire to safeguard the identity of the vocation of Lay Consecrated Persons, to promote communion and shared mission with the entire spiritual family of Regnum Christi and to sustain the apostolic thrust at the service of the Church and society.
The Consecrated Laity of Regnum Christi express their gratitude to the members of the outgoing government - Christian Nazer, Fernando Rincón, Bernardo Pérez and Mario Olivieri - for their generous dedication and for the fruits that the Lord has granted through their service.
