Pre-candidacy course for Lay Consecrated persons begins

El curso previo al candidatado ofrece un espacio propicio para que cada joven se conozca mejor, profundice en su vida espiritual y discierna con libertad si Dios lo llama a vivir la consagración laical.

What leads a young person to pause in the midst of the daily rhythm to seriously question the direction of their life? The pre-candidacy course for consecrated laypeople of Regnum Christi offers precisely that space for pause, listening, and deep searching. More than just a formation program, it is an inspiring experience that opens horizons, marked by prayer, accompaniment, and fraternal life.

On June 30, a new edition of the pre-candidacy course began for the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi, which will take place over five weeks at the formation, study, and apostolate house located in Mexico City. This formative stage represents a key moment in the vocational journey of young people seeking to discern God's call more clearly.

The pre-course is an intensive period of vocational discernment that combines human and spiritual formation with a dynamic of community life. Over five weeks, participants will reflect deeply on their identity, their relationship with Christ, and their potential membership in the apostolic society of consecrated laity.

The program includes a series of activities designed to foster comprehensive discernment: classes, spiritual accompaniment, prayer times, and an eight-day silent spiritual retreat, which marks a central point in the process of internalization and personal listening.

Five young people from different countries are participating in this course: two Colombians (from Barranquilla and Cali), two Mexicans (from San Juan de los Lagos and Cancun), and one Venezuelan (from Mérida). This cultural diversity enriches the community experience and underscores the international character of the spiritual family of Regnum Christi.

The purpose of the course is not to make an immediate decision, but to offer a conducive space for each young person to get to know themselves better, deepen their spiritual life, and freely discern whether God is calling them to live out lay consecration.

As a spiritual family, Regnum Christi invites all its members to join in prayer for these young people, for the fruit of the previous course, as well as for the formation processes that they will experience this summer.
