Amen.
Christ, our King.
Thy Kingdom come!
Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)
Come Holy Spirit, enlighten my mind to be able to see what God wants to give me today. Enkindle my heart to respond with love to Jesus who wants to meet me now.
Father, I give you all my worries, my insecurities, my mistakes and my weaknesses. I thank You for this moment of encounter with You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Virgin Mary, teach me to pray and to give these minutes of my life to God to meet Him.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark 6, 7-13
At that time Jesus called the Twelve and sent them out two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take a staff and nothing else for the journey, but no bread, no bag, and no money in a girdle; to wear sandals, but not a spare tunic. And he added: “Stay in the house where you enter, until you leave that place. And if a place neither receives you nor listens to you, when you leave, shake off the dust from your feet, to prove its guilt.” They went out preaching conversion, casting out many demons, anointing many sick people with oil and healing them.
Word of the Lord.
Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Jesus sent his apostles two thousand years ago and today he renews that sending with us. When we are baptized, we are sent by him. We have a mission in this life. But what is that mission? Each one of us has a different mission, but within this multiplicity of missions, we are all called to love.
When Jesus sends his apostles, he asks them to take no food, no money, no change of clothes. In other words, he sends them out with as few securities as possible, asking them to make God's Providence their only security.
Today Jesus sends us to love, each one of us in different ways, but to live love radically it is necessary to let go of our securities and trust in the Providence of the Father.
Jesus knows that living with no other security than Providence is the way of life that can give us the most happiness. That's why Jesus says that each day has its own purpose. It is not necessary to have everything calculated or to have every encounter planned. The only thing that is necessary is to live in love.
«And when I fall, I find in Jesus the courage to fight and to hope, the courage to dream again. At any age of life». (H.H. Francis, Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe - Sunday, November 21, 2021).
Dialogue with Christ
This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.
Purpose
Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.
Pray an Our Father to give all your fears to the Father and ask Him for the grace to help you today to love a little more.
Farewell
We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.
Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!
Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
