Thy Kingdom come!
Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)
Lord, the world needs you, send more laborers into your harvest; and if you ask me for something, give me the generosity to say yes.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 10:1-9
At that time Jesus appointed seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead, two by two, to all the towns and places where he intended to go, and said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out laborers into his fields. Set out; I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry neither money, nor haversack, nor sandals, and do not stop to greet anyone on the road. When you enter a house, say, ‘Let peace be in this house. And if there are peace-loving people there, your desire for peace will be fulfilled; if not, it will not be fulfilled. Stay in that house. Eat and drink of what you have, for the laborer is entitled to his wages. Do not go from house to house. In whatever city you enter and are received, eat what they give you. Heal the sick whom you find and say to them, ’The kingdom of God is at hand.
Word of the Lord.
Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
In the Old Testament we see scenes in which the Lord gets angry because we think in numbers. Yes, as we hear, we think in numbers of seminarians, priests, nuns... and we often forget that it is the Lord who does the work in us. We see the wonders he does with a very religious but very small people and how he punishes them when they seek to base their actions on their own strength.
Today Christ invites us not to cease, not to give up in the battle against evil, he invites us to continue asking; indeed, he invites us to pray for new shepherds, for people who are truly willing to give their lives for others, for those souls who seek the sanctification of this world, no matter what.
Today the Lord invites us, like St. Luke, to go and preach that the kingdom of God is near, and to accompany and invite all those who want to participate in the mission, without fear.
Today we must ask ourselves in what way this announcement corresponds to each one of us, and also pray for all those who have already given their yes, so that the Lord may continue to give them strength along the way.
«Let us thank the Lord because he continues to raise up in the Church stories of love for Jesus Christ, to praise his glory and to serve his brothers and sisters. Today, in particular, let us thank the new priests whom I recently ordained in St. Peter's Basilica and ask the Lord to send many good laborers to work in his vineyard, and to multiply vocations to the consecrated life and to Christian marriage.».

Dialogue with Christ
This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.
Purpose
Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.
I will spend a moment of deep prayer to see what God is asking me to do.
Farewell
We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.
Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!
