Lord, I come to you in this prayer to build my life on the firm rock of your love. Do not allow me to be content to invoke your name with my arms folded, my eyes closed and my ears covered. I thirst for you, to meet you, to let myself be guided by you in this meditation.

From the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew 7, 21-29
At that time Jesus said to his disciples, “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven,” but the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many miracles?” And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from me, you agents of iniquity!" So everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like the wise man who built his house on rock: the rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it did not fall, because it was founded on rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like the foolish man who built his house on sand: the rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these discourses, the people were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Our Lord knew something of architecture, because if someone tries to build on firm rock, he will have his house well solid in the days of tempest, and if a person wants to build on sand it will not last his dwelling standing.
Moreover, if it is true in the earthly life, how much more will it be true for the spiritual life? In the soul, the foundation is the words that Christ has left us. That is why we must read the Gospel frequently, which is where all the words of the Lord are collected. In them we will find the necessary strength to be faithful and to have a spiritual house well founded in Christ.
So let us seek to live always with the gospel in our hands in order to build our lives well and live faithful to God, being an example to all our brothers and sisters.
«Christ asks us to remain in his love. There are two criteria that help to distinguish true love from that which is not. The first criterion is: love is more in deeds than in words, it is not a love of a soap opera, a fantasy, a story that makes our heart beat but nothing more, it is in concrete facts. ... The second criterion of love is that love communicates, it does not remain isolated. Love gives of itself and receives, there is that communication that exists between the Father and the Son, a communication that is made by the Holy Spirit».

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.
