Let's leave a space

H. Vicente Toledo, L.C.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Christ, our King, Thy Kingdom come!

Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)
Lord, give me the grace to listen to Your voice, to trust only in You and in what You have prepared for me.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 21:5-11
At that time, as some pondered the solidity of the temple's construction and the beauty of the votive offerings that adorned it, Jesus said: “The days will come when not one stone will be left upon another of all this that you are admiring: it will all be destroyed”.
Then they asked him, “Master, when is this going to happen, and what will be the sign that it is about to happen?”.
He answered them, “Beware that no one deceives you, for many will come usurping my name and will say, ‘I am the Messiah. The time has come. But do not listen to them. When you hear talk of wars and revolutions, do not panic, for that must come to pass, but it is not yet the end.’.
Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. In different places there will be great earthquakes, epidemics and famine, and prodigious and terrible signs will appear in the sky.”.
Word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

When will it be, what will be the signs, big earthquakes, epidemics, famine, terrible signs, this could make us think that the end of times is near. These are things that we live every day, that we see in the news, that we live them in first person. And how did Jesus know that this was going to happen, does he want to warn us of something?

Jesus knows everything, He knows what has happened and what is going to happen. He has the answers to all our questions. But it happens that sometimes we allow ourselves to be deceived by false ideas, by people who think they know our destiny, and the only thing they seek is to keep us away from God's truth, to make us distrust Him. Let us leave a space within ourselves to ask Him, what do You want for each one of us?

Jesus tells us: «Take care that no one deceives you» and what does He mean by this? Does He want us to live in fear or frustration, taking care of everyone? Does He want us to analyze everything that happens? No... Jesus wants us to live trusting in His will, seeking to fulfill only what He has prepared for us. Let us trust in God's plans, the only thing He wants is our happiness.

Should we be vigilant? Of course, but we should not stop living in order to continue living. We must be collaborators of Jesus' mission, work with Him and for Him, and not be thinking about the end of the world, according to the news. And like Him, we must go out to meet others, take His message to all men and women in order to spread His message to the world. his Kingdom on the ground.

«We all know, even from personal experience, that one can miss the way and run after mirages that promise and enchant us with an apparent happiness, a quick, easy and immediate happiness, but that in the end leave the heart, the look and the soul halfway. Be attentive to those who promise you easy ways and then leave you in the middle of the street. Those illusions that, when we are young, seduce us with promises that lull us to sleep, take away our vitality, joy, make us dependent and enclosed in an apparent circle with no way out and full of bitterness.» (Homily of H.H. Francis, September 7, 2019).

Dialogue with Christ
This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Purpose
Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.

Ask God for the grace to recognize his voice in the midst of the distractions of the world.

Farewell
We thank You, Lord, for all Your benefits, You who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
