The Anáhuac Puebla University now has a new building: an academic project aimed at training students in leadership. What does this «Anáhuac Leadership» building express about the educational mission? The inauguration marks a significant step in the consolidation of a project focused on service and the formation of people committed to society.
The event brought together university authorities, ecclesiastical representatives and those responsible for education and public affairs. The ceremony began with a mass presided by Mons. Víctor Sánchez Espinosa, Archbishop of Puebla, followed by the inaugural ceremony in which the academic objectives of the new building and its contribution to the growth of the university community were presented, as well as the formative vision that guided its design and implementation. Bishop Víctor Sánchez blessed the facilities and toured the building.
José Mata Temoltzin, rector of the Universidad Anáhuac Puebla; Fr. Alberto Simán, L.C., territorial director of the Legionaries of Christ in Mexico and Central America; Alejandro Armenta Mier, governor of the state of Puebla; as well as educational authorities, benefactors and members of the university community participated in the inauguration. Luis González Placencia, representative of national higher education organizations, and David Cuevas, Federal Superior Auditor, attended as special guests.

The new building will allow for a significant increase in academic space, from 35 to 62 classrooms, as well as an increase in the capacity for simultaneous attention from 900 to 1,600 students, with a direct impact on the organization of academic and university life.
An infrastructure linked to the educational mission
Beyond its functional dimension, the design of the building integrates 360 classrooms, technological spaces, coexistence areas and student service centers, which allows articulating academic work with university life and student support processes.
Classroom 360 is a modern and flexible educational space designed to promote dynamic, collaborative and student-centered learning. It is characterized by mobile furniture that allows the room to be reorganized according to the activity, integrated technology such as interactive screens or videoconferencing systems, and a pedagogical approach that promotes participation, teamwork and interaction in all directions, not only from the teacher to the group.
In his speech on the day of the inauguration, the rector, Mtro. José Mata Temoltzin, explained that the new building is part of the university's educational mission and responds to the need to accompany the growth of the university community. He pointed out that the education proposed by Anáhuac seeks to form people with criteria, responsibility and social commitment.

Spaces for learning and university life
The governor of the state of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, highlighted the role of the University in the state's educational system and its contribution to the formation of professionals and citizens committed to society.
Alberto Simán, L.C., acknowledged the shared effort that made the project possible, as well as the involvement of those who participated in its development, carrying out different responsibilities.

Representing the student body, Travis David Pérez Amezcua, president of the Federation of Alumni Societies, pointed out that university leadership is built on responsibility, service and character, and that the legacy of an institution is reflected in the human quality of its community.
The ceremony concluded with the symbolic cutting of the ribbon and a tour of the facilities, which provided an opportunity to see the new academic spaces.
