Señor, ayúdame en este día a tener un espíritu abierto a todo lo que me digas. Dame la gracia de poder escucharte y dame la fuerza para hacer lo que me pides.
Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark 2, 1-12
When Jesus returned to Capernaum, word spread that he was at home, and very soon so many people crowded together that there was no more room in front of the door. While he was teaching his doctrine, they wanted to present to him a paralytic, whom four of them were carrying. But when they could not come near Jesus because of the crowd, they removed part of the roof above where Jesus was, and through the hole they lowered the sick man on a stretcher.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you. Some of the scribes who were sitting there began to think, ”Why does this man speak like this? That is blasphemy; who can forgive sins but God alone?“.
Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus said to them, “Why do you think this way, which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say to him, ‘Get up, pick up your mat and go home’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins,” he said to the paralytic, "I command you, 'Get up, pick up your mat and go home.
The man immediately got up, picked up his stretcher and walked out in full view of everyone, who were astonished and gave glory to God, saying, “We have never seen anything like it!”.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Como hermanos en la fe, podemos llevar a los que, heridos por el egoísmo, están a nuestro lado muchas veces sin esperanza. Es nuestro deber de católicos buscar una camilla, tomar uno de los extremos y llevar a este herido con un espíritu de equipo, y más aún, de familia junto a los que siente esta misma responsabilidad.
Encontramos ocasiones en que no somos responsables de las heridas y lesiones que provocan la discapacidad. Pero siempre podemos tener la urgencia de sanar las heridas que impiden hacer un acercamiento a Cristo. Él es el único que vuelve a dar una vida llena de esperanza.
Cristo se digna sanar a estas personas por nuestra fe. Éste es el poder de la intercesión. Hemos recibido la luz, viendo lo que muchos no ven y oyendo lo que algunos otros no oyen. Demos a conocer a este Dios amoroso que da esperanza sin importar los ánimos, los peligros, los vientos a favor y en contra.
Si tenemos fe es para iluminar el camino que lleva a Cristo, si tenemos esperanza es para compartirla en la desesperación, si tenemos amor es para darnos dando al que llevamos dentro.
Somos responsables porque creemos. Precisamente es por esto que debemos ayudar a creer tomando las camillas de los paralíticos en la fe. No importará si es difícil llegar a un Cristo rodeado por personas que forman murallas de problemas. El amor es ingenioso y todo lo puede. Es todo un reto, pero, a fin de cuentas, es lo que Dios quiere: que le llevemos a todo herido.
«La pereza es un pecado feo, puede afectar a cada hombre: es vivir porque es gratis el oxígeno, el aire, es vivir siempre mirando a los otros que son más felices que yo, vivir en la tristeza, olvidar la alegría. Es un pecado que paraliza, nos hace paralíticos. No nos deja caminar. A nosotros Jesús hoy nos dice: Levántate, toma tu vida como es, bonita, fea, como sea, tómala y ve adelante. No tengas miedo, ve adelante con tu camilla — “Pero, Señor, no es el último modelo…” — ¡Pero ve adelante! ¡Con esa camilla fea, quizá, pero ve adelante! Es tu vida, es tu alegría».
