Vengo hoy a ti, Señor, porque te quiero, porque te necesito… porque sé que no puedo nada sin ti… y todo contigo. Hoy quiero estar un momento en tu presencia.

From the Holy Gospel according to Mark 3:13-19
At that time Jesus went up on the mountain, called those whom he wanted, and they followed him. He appointed twelve to stay with him, to be sent out to preach, and to have power to cast out demons. Then he appointed the twelve: Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter; then James and John, sons of Zebedee, to whom he gave the name Boanergues, that is, “sons of thunder”; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed him.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel
Por diversas razones, en algún momento de la vida, nos hemos visto alejados de las personas que amamos. Son en estos momentos cuando, irónicamente, nos sentimos más cerca de ellos. Aunque no estén en cuerpo, podemos sentirlos, pues los llevamos en el corazón. Están con nosotros ya que ocupan nuestro pensamiento; protagonizan nuestras conversaciones y, también, son dueños, muchas veces, de nuestras lágrimas… producidas por la tristeza de extrañarles o la alegría de recordarles.
Cuando experimentamos esos momentos, casi inconscientemente suspiramos: «quisiera estar con ella… con él… con ellos». Daríamos cualquier cosa con tan sólo estar junto a la persona que se adueña de nuestros pensamientos.
Estar con alguien se convierte en algo tan importante que quisiéramos darle el valor de lo eterno. Estar, con todo lo que la palabra implica, descubrimos que tiene una profundidad… que cuando verdaderamente se está ni siquiera se quiere hablar, pues las palabras podrían perturbar lo que sólo una mirada puede decir…puede expresar.
Señor, éste es tu deseo, que yo esté contigo. Haciendo lo que esté haciendo, quieres que esté contigo. Trabajo, estudios… ahí… sólo contigo. Sólo así es cuando puedo ser un verdadero apóstol. Sólo así es cuando puedo predicar tu amor.
Estar contigo es vivir mi vida haciendo vida aquello que he conocido…al estar contigo. Gracias, Señor, por estar conmigo.
«¿Qué nos da el Señor? Nos regala su amistad fiel, que no la retirará jamás. El Señor es el amigo para siempre. Además, si tú lo decepcionas y te alejas de él, Jesús sigue amándote y estando contigo, creyendo en ti más de lo que tú crees en ti mismo. Esto es lo específico del amor que nos enseña Jesús. Y esto es muy importante. Porque la amenaza principal, que impide crecer bien, es cuando no importas a nadie —esto es triste—, cuando te sientes marginado. En cambio, el Señor está siempre junto a ti y está contento de estar contigo».
