Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)

Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to experience and transmit your love to others.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to John 6:35-40

At that time, Jesus said to the multitude: I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. But as I have already told you, they have seen me and do not believe. Everyone whom the Father gives me comes to me; and him who comes to me I will in no wise cast out, for I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but the will of him who sent me. And the will of him who sent me is that I should lose nothing of what he has given me, but that I should raise it up at the last day. My Father's will is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

Word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

At all times and in all circumstances, we are called to search for the truths that shape our lives. Why do we live? Why are we living in this situation? What does God want to tell us through this meditation?

Faced with these questions that may arise, we must be aware that there are fundamental truths, truths that shape each of the answers we want to find. One of them is to discover the truth about God's will in our own life, that is, what He wants from me and what He wanted from the moment He created me, because if we look at the path and the life of every person, we can discover that there is a natural orientation towards the One who created us. What does this mean? It means that we have been created to love and to be loved, after the example of God's love.

In today's Gospel the Lord gives us one of the guidelines to be able to remain full in those moments in which we experience an emptiness in our heart. He comes to teach us that, in the face of that thirst or that hunger that we may experience in our life, He gives us fullness and peace. Two actions, firstly, to have a personal encounter with Him and, secondly, to live and transmit to others what we have experienced in that personal encounter.

This takes place when we are aware of that great treasure given by God, the gift of being able to love and even more, to feel loved; that is, it is through a personal encounter with God that our heart can be filled and in this way we can experience it and transmit it to others.

“He who loves me will be faithful to my Word, and my Father will love him; we will come to him and dwell in him” Jesus Christ.

«Each one knows what his sin is, his strongest weakness. First of all we must recognize this: none of us, all of us here, can say: “I am not a sinner”. The Pharisees said it and Jesus condemns them. They were proud, haughty, they thought they were superior to others. On the other hand, we are all sinners. It is our title and it is also the possibility of attracting Jesus to us. Jesus comes to us, he comes to me because I am a sinner».
(Homily of H.H. Francis, July 7, 2017).

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Purpose

Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.

I will live with true charity for the love of God, myself and others.

Farewell

We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
