In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Christ, our King.
Thy Kingdom come!

Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)

Lord, teach me to be attentive to your voice and to understand what you ask of me.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to Mark 6:1-6

At that time, Jesus went to his own country in the company of his disciples. When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and the crowd listening to him wondered in amazement, “Where did this man learn so many things? Where did this wisdom and this power to do miracles come from? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon? Do not his sisters live here among us?” And they were puzzled. But Jesus said to them, “Everyone honors a prophet except those of his own country, his relatives and those of his household.” And he could do no miracle there; he only healed some of the sick by laying his hands on them. And he was amazed at the unbelief of those people. Then he went to teach in the neighboring villages.

Word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

It is a reality that God is not alien to our lives, even less so if there are moments in which we do not feel his voice or believe that he is not at our side. He, more than ever, is there, accompanying us and sustaining us to move forward.

How is our faith? Do we really believe or doubt?

It is another reality that God is the only one who can change our lives. Yes we can say that people change us, that situations make us different people, that places or environments influence our lives, and we are right, but who is behind it all? Guess. It is God who is there, in the front row, more present than ever, and it is He who uses all this to teach us and to make us change. Not just an outward change, but an inward change, a change that includes our mind and our heart.

As Jesus grew up, the one who was called the son of a carpenter, son of Mary, brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon, little by little the intimate relationship that he had especially in prayer with God his Father, was changing him and inflaming his heart with love for men, so much so that he loved to the point of giving his life so that each one of us would understand how much he loves us and has loved us from all eternity.

Let us ask the Blessed Virgin to teach us to recognize her son Jesus Christ, not in the great miracles, not in the extraordinary and dazzling things, but in every detail, in every sign of love that he gives us day by day.

«His gaze transforms our gaze, his heart transforms our heart. God is a Father who seeks the salvation of all his children».
(Homily of Pope Francis, September 21, 2015).

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.

Purpose

Propose a personal one. The one that involves the most love in response to the Beloved... or, if you believe that this is what God is asking of you, live what is suggested below.

I will look for a moment of silence and recollection to listen to the Word of God.

Farewell

We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, you who live and reign forever and ever.
Amen.

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
