In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Christ, our King.
Thy Kingdom come!

Preparatory prayer (to put me in the presence of God)

My God, I prostrate myself before You in this prayer, I want to listen to You and be docile to Your inspirations, because only You can give fullness to my life.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew 5:17-19

«Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law and the Prophets. I have not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Yes, I tell you the truth, heaven and earth will pass away before even the smallest letter or comma of the law is not fulfilled. Therefore, whoever transgresses one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, he shall be least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever observes and teaches them, he shall be great in the kingdom of heaven.

Word of the Lord

Meditate on what God tells you in the Gospel

All that tremendous legislation became too heavy a burden. The Jews themselves experience this almost insurmountable difficulty. To be a perfect man, as God intended, without being truly united to God from within, is an impossible task.

The external acts, the worship, the rites and all the sacrifices, cannot all come together to reach the value of a simple act of contrition, of a simple and simple prayer that comes from the heart and says: “Lord, have mercy on me, for I am a sinner... a contrite and humiliated heart you, O God, do not despise”, says the psalm. How many had forgotten this in those times, and how many today think that an external act, an almsgiving, or not even that, is enough to soothe the conscience... We have adapted the law of God so much to our whim that its content has almost disappeared or we are content to “say something to God from time to time”....

The path of a true interior conversion is that of a loyal effort to interiorize our experience and relationship with Him, but without neglecting to take advantage of the spiritual riches of the Church, especially through the sacraments. There we will find the Lord whenever we seek him. His spirit is present there and acts above institutions and persons... I will be with you until the end of the world....

Jesus also revolutionizes consciences in the Discourse on the Mount, opening new horizons for humanity and fully revealing the logic of God. The logic of love that is not based on fear but on freedom, on charity, on healthy zeal and on the salvific desire of God, Our Savior, “who wants all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”. “Mercy I desire and not sacrifice.”»
(Homily of H.H. Francis, February 15, 2015)

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, prepare yourself to talk with much love with the One who loves you.
Lord, erroneously there is a tendency to think that just as water and oil do not mix, neither do your commandments and happiness. Therefore, I diligently numb my conscience, and subtly put aside everything that implies renunciation, effort, sacrifice. Thank you for reminding me that you offer me your grace and love so that I may always be faithful to your law, which has love as its foundation.

Purpose

To always comply with the civil and Church laws and to reflect on how this leads me to live love more fully.

Lord, give me the grace to never contradict your commandments, grant me to be a true follower and witness of your love.

Farewell

Christ, our King!
Thy Kingdom come!

Most prudent Virgin, Mary, Mother of the Church.
Pray for us.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
