We recommend you to read before guidelines for making a spiritual retreat, suggested by the Regnum Christi Resource Center.
The spiritual retreat is a time of prayer, of encounter with Jesus Christ. Like Samuel, to be attentive to his call, to all that he wants to communicate to us. “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening”. To place ourselves in the presence of God, to open our minds and hearts with the availability of our will to tune in with his heart that loves me so much. To do this, we must put aside everything that hinders our encounter with Christ. The Christian life is to collaborate with the grace of God so that, like St. Paul, we can say: “I live, but it is not I, it is Christ who lives in me. And we can say of each one of us, as St. John Chrysostom said of St. Paul: ”The heart of Paul is the heart of Christ.
