Pope Francis, in the apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium invites us to be a «Church going forth». He has just recalled it in the message for World Mission Sunday 2019.
We want to meditate,
- what Jesus Christ tells us about it,
- what the Pope says,
- and finally, how it applies to our concrete life (as Catholics and members of the RC).

A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him of everything, wounded him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road: he saw him and went on his way. A Levite also passed by: he saw him and went on his way. But a Samaritan, as he passed by, saw him and was moved with pity. So he went over and dressed his wounds, covering them with oil and wine; then he put him on his own mount, led him to an inn, and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the owner of the inn, saying, “Take care of him, and whatever you spend too much, I will repay you on my return.”. (Lc 10,30-35).
