Le Châtelard is an international Regnum Christi institution with a boarding school in Switzerland for the integral formation of young women between the ages of 13 and 18.

The summer camps at Le Châtelard
This year 2024, the summer camp welcomed 98 girls from Mexico, Spain, the United States, the Philippines, Brazil and Puerto Rico. Guadalupe del Toro, consecrated of the Regnum Christi comments:
«In these three years that I have done the summer camp I have found a very open response from the girls about the formation of the academy and I have noticed that one of the things that most attracts their attention is the Eucharistic Hour, that encounter with Jesus that is so personal because they have not experienced it before.
It is explained to them what it consists of, as well as the Mass and morning prayers. Another activity that I have seen them take advantage of are the formation dialogues where they are helped to continue growing.
The girls are also in another more caring environment that allows them to show more facets of their personality where they develop other skills, values, virtues during the summer camps.».
The camp, an encounter with the living Jesus
One of the objectives of the summer camp at Le Châtelard is for the girls to have a faith experience based on the witness of their formators, to question themselves based on the example they receive of friendship with God, with the Blessed Virgin, in the sacraments.
Likewise, in more practical matters, before each Mass, the meaning of the Mass is briefly explained to them, so that they may better understand what they are experiencing and assimilate the need to have God at the center of their lives.
Girls can also get to know the ECYD and Regnum Christi during the camp and take advantage of all the formative elements they offer to foster in them a friendship with Christ, so that they may get to know him in an enthusiastic and joyful way.
The confidence of families
Leslie Chayeb, a Regnum Christi consecrated woman, comments: «The families end up very grateful because the camps are very safe. They have the certainty that their daughters will be well cared for both by the consecrated members of Regnum Christi and by the training team.
They have also expressed their gratitude for the training their daughters receive at the camp, for the personal attention and support, for the positive experiences of friendship and self-improvement as they get involved in the camp activities, and for meeting new people from other countries.
«At this summer camp I learned to recognize who I really want to be with and how I want to be in front of people. I discovered that God guideá to meet others people, will teach me . see always the positive side of everything what I am living», one of the teenage participants commented.
