Álvaro Abellán-García

I joined Regnum Christi on June 23, 2008, the eve of St. John's Day, in the chapel of the Francisco de Vitoria University (my alma mater), during the closing ceremony of the section's activities. Those were not easy times for the institution and when I asked its members what its charism was, I could not find two identical answers. However, I was already convinced that Regnum Christi embodies an original way of living the mystery of Jesus Christ, which corresponds to what I had always sought, without knowing it. My apostolate has to do with a specific way of being a university student, seeking the truth and serving society by imitating that virtue that Benedict VXI taught us: intellectual charity. I have a degree in Journalism (extraordinary degree award), a master's degree in Philosophy (summa cum laude et honore), Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences (A+), Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences (A+), Ph. summa cum laude unanimously). I am currently an adjunct professor of «Communication Theory», «Introduction to University Studies» and «Philosophical Bases of Fantasy and Science Fiction» at the University Francisco de Vitoria and I write at dialogicalcreativity.es. As of September 15, 2019 was appointed to participate in the General Plenary of Regnum Christi attending the General Directing College. I am happily married to Amalia, one of the treasures I found in Regnum Christi.
