As part of the 50th anniversary of the ECYD, From February 14 to 21, the annual meetings of ECYD territorial managers were held in Castel di Guido, Rome. The meeting focused on the formative style of ECYD and on possible proposals for continuity and sustainability in the work of the international ECYD.
Participants expressed the importance of joining forces, working together and encouraging collaborative work and co-responsibility at all levels.
The international team of the ECYD has been in existence for 7 years. Currently, it is composed of the territorial leaders of the ECYD under the coordination of the area of life and mission of the Regnum Christi Federation. It is an instance of collaboration and joint work to promote the common vision and mission of ECYD worldwide.
Eva Maria Leal, ECYD territorial manager for Brazil, shares that «it was an experience of communion and community of brothers and sisters, of apostles putting their talents and experiences at the service of all and of our mission in the ECYD.
A moment of listening: to the road we have traveled, welcoming the reality with its joys, fruits and challenges, but also seeking to respond to what God wants. God works wonders when all the vocations of Regnum Christi come into play, Consecrated Women, Lay Consecrated Men, Legionnaires and Laity. God trusts us.
I am very grateful and happy for moments of prayer and fellowship. I surprised myself several times with a smile on my face. I ended with a very strong certainty of the transcendence of ECYD in our lives and in every place that God has placed this seed».
