In the face of the crisis, united at the feet of Guadalupe
With the desire to ask the Virgin of Guadalupe for all her graces and blessings and, above all, to pray for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Episcopal Dimension for the Laity (DELAI) of the Mexican Episcopal Conference, through Bishop Victor Alejandro Aguilar Ledezma, Auxiliary Bishop of Morelia and head of the DELAI, calls all the faithful of Mexico and Latin America to the virtual pilgrimage to be held on Saturday, September 19, starting at 5:00 p.m. CDMX time. CDMX time.
“The laity are the great strength of the Church to make the Gospel present in the temporal realities, in the present circumstances, in the day to day life we live. Encouraging and strengthening the unity of Mexicans, comforted by the love and presence of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who has accompanied this great Hispanic-American nation for nearly 500 years, rekindles hope and motivates us to participate in solidarity and commitment for the greatest possible social good.
May Blessed Anacleto, patron and model of life of the Mexican laity, intercede before God so that the participation and commitment may lead this great nation to the destiny that, as our hymn points out, is written in heaven by the finger of God. I invite you to promote and support this initiative that starts from the laity for the laity. May God bless you, may Mary of Guadalupe accompany you and may Anacleto Gonzalez Flores inspire your work”, is the message with which Bishop Aguilar has called all the laity to join this event, which can be followed through the social networks of the Episcopal Commission for the Laity.
Regnum Christi was invited to participate in the Holy Rosary by leading the fifth mystery with the support of several young people from the country's sections.
