On November 16, 2022, after an exhaustive process, the Consecrated Sisters of Regnum Christi in the North American territory became one of the first women's institutions to receive Praesidium accreditation as a Society of Apostolic Life.
Praesidium is an independent organization whose mission is to prevent the sexual abuse of children and vulnerable adults. They offer this accreditation to organizations that are committed to safety and meeting the highest standards in abuse prevention. This approval step is part of ongoing efforts and commitment to creating safe environments for all people.
The Consecrated Sisters of Regnum Christi are also part of the Safe Environments Commission together with the Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christi in North America. This commission collaborates in establishing policies, sharing resources and implementing safe environment practices. The Safe Environments Commission consists of three directors and two pastoral care advocates.
The Consecrated Sisters of Regnum Christi welcome anyone who has been affected by the misconduct of any consecrated woman and who wishes to make a complaint. They are invited to contact the Pastoral Care Coordinator, Ms. Griselda Cervantez, for further assistance and support. She can be contacted directly by email at [email protected] or by calling her at +1 408-490-0501.
