He was born on August 12, 1968 in Illapel, Chile, and was consecrated on January 15, 1995. He was a Regnum Christi collaborator during the 1993-1994 academic year in Mexico City. He is a medical doctor by profession, studied a bachelor's degree in philosophy at the Ateneo Regina Apostolorum and a master's degree in philosophy at the Universidad Anahuac Mexico. He has a specialization in bioethics from the University of Sacro Cuore in Rome. He was Secretary General of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Campus Sur, Academic Vice Rector of the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Campus Norte, and president of the Superior Council and Academic Vice Rector of the Universidad Finis Terrae. Since March 2013, he has been the rector of said university. Since 2012 he has been general councilor of the Consecrated Laity of Regnum Christi, and since 2019 he has been a member of the Territorial Directive College of the territory of Chile and Argentina. He was elected first general councilor on February 12, 2020.
