Exodus Retreat: Young people take on the challenge of climbing to 3,000 meters above sea level

«A meeting of fourteen young people with the mission of walking towards heaven». This is how Ricardo Hoyos, a young Regnum Christi member from Pereira, describes the experience he had during the retreat. Exodus -from February 25 to 27, in which, together with other young people from Colombia and accompanied by the parents of their children, they participated in the legionaries of Christ Lucas Délano and César Pérez, climbed the Otún Lagoon at 3,000 meters above sea level.

«The route, which was arduous and long, and which in the end overcame our ego, showed us that to reach heaven we must walk with humility, admitting the difficulty of the road, recognizing that we are limited and in need of God in order to reach the summit. And although we have not yet reached our final goal, we will continue to walk with courage, with our hearts ready and our eyes set on high, because “We will not stop until we reach heaven”.

Jorge Herrera LC, Juan Diego Salazar, David Baena and Steven Giraldo, who, after walking through the Tatacoa desert during the first retreat, were present at each Mass and throughout the entire journey. Exodus, The company's employees were ahead of the sky last December.

Exodus retreats are spiritual encounters for men that take place outside the city, in contact with the Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, friends and nature, and that allow them to disconnect for a weekend from ordinary life in order to connect with God.
