Friendship Tournament postponed to 2021 because of Coronavirus

The Friendship Tournament 2020, which was scheduled to be held in Queretaro in October and November of this year, has been postponed in order to protect the entire educational community in an act of coherence and responsibility, due to the effects that the current health crisis will have on the health and economy of our country. The news was published on May 12 by the organizing committee.

In the same circular, it was announced that the tournament, which includes the participation of schools from the Semper Altius Network and the Mano Amiga Network, will be held in 2021, with dates to be confirmed, and that Cumbres International School Queretaro will remain the host school.

The organizing committee announced that it will be in contact with parents to provide them with information regarding the hotel arrangements that had been previously booked, as well as the registrations that had already been made for this year's tournament.

The Friendship Tournament, organized by the Semper Altius Schools Network, is considered the largest student sports event in Latin America. Every year it brings together more than 8,000 athletes in 10 disciplines and is also an international competition, bringing together athletes from Mexico, the United States, El Salvador, Colombia and Venezuela, among others.
