The Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology of the State of Jalisco, invited teachers and students from the Instituto Alpes San Javier to share their experience in the Movement for Innovation, Science and Technology. Maker.
On November 8 and 9, Jalisco was held at the Jalisco Maker Faire, A meeting point to share experiences, knowledge and, above all, to nurture the capacity to be amazed by all that can be achieved.
This celebration of creativity and ingenuity is the first edition in Latin America of the Maker Faire, The movement is global in scale and more and more creators are becoming part of it.
The Alpes San Javier Institute was in charge of organizing the education pavilion, where teachers and students were part of the committee. During the event, visitors were able to experience Maker, The program includes lectures, exhibitions, workshops and above all, having fun in a creative way.
Miss Paula Leitao and Miss Aymé Visconti gave the lecture: Change of paradigms in the educational system; Miss Kimberly Uribe talked about Maker Steam education as a response to the needs of Industry 4.0. Students Ana Sofía Velázquez and Valentina Vizcaíno talked about Maker culture as a tool to generate social impact Finally, Miss María Antonieta Flores and the student Emilia Vélez Pesquera talked about their experience in this Movement with the conference entitled: The Maker movement: changing the world, one girl at a time.
Maker Faire or «maker festivals» are events held around the world to showcase the creative capacity that exists in everyone. From learning how to use kitchen utensils, to building giant robots. It is a space for people of all ages and backgrounds, a meeting point for inspiration, wonder and learning.
